LCA Relocation Brackets: I need some!

Been looking at UMI, UPR, and BMR.

Don't need a weld-in set since this is just for my daily driver (just dropped it with Steeda Sport Springs).

They're all different prices but all seem to be CNC'd from 3/16" steel and powder coated. The only differences I notice is the amount of hardware (nuts, bolts and washers) that is included. I haven't found a bad review of any of them.

Other than price, is there anything else I should be looking at?

I can only comment on the UMI ones as they are the only ones I have purchased. They are a great piece and I have never heard of them breaking or bending like some of the others.

UPR discontinued theirs so I wouldnt trust them.
BMR is ok but some have hard time getting them on.

I have CHE on my 07 and they look/feel very firm and were easy enough to get on. They are not welded, and run fine.

Question - Why get the brackets if not racing the car? They help with launching, but are not really needed on a DD.

I just installed Steeda Sport lowering springs and have noticed a decrease in traction (a slight decrease). I want to correct the rear geometry to get back to at least stock levels of traction.

Are you still running the stock control arms? They would be better to upgrade to fix any traction issues.

I have the UMI brackets welded in. Been great so far.

Our new design does not require welding for MOST applications.

The only reason we recommend welding them in on certain applications, is due to the fact that bolts are not indestructible.....and with our system, the bolts are the weakest link (no matter what grade you use)

We designed them with SUPER tight tolerances, but have "loosened" up on them a little since our first release, due to some customers not being able to install them in 30 seconds. The tighter the tolerances, the stronger the system will be. The "looser" the tolerances, the weaker the system will be. The tolerances in the design of our current offering allow for minimal force when installing, however....the tolerance is just tight enough to occasionally allow a customer to struggle just the slightest bit.

Our design is very solid and we have had no issues. We were at one time the only manufacturer that bolted into the panhard mount and the supplied threaded hole in the rear end. Now some others are doing it too.

On a lowered car the brackets correct the rear lower control arm angle that changes when a vehicle is lowered. This is one of the reasons why when you lower your vehicle your traction gets worse. The brackets will fix this. On a non-lowered vehicle they work as an anti-squat bracket, lifting the body while planting the tires into the ground.

you cant go wrong with the BMR ones. BMR is the tops in my book!

If you LCA front bushing is higher or level compared to the rear bushing you do not need relocation brackets, get poly LCA's. If the front bushing is lower get the BMR they have more adjust-ability

i have the umi kit and they are awesome!!!!!! works perfect!!! car just hooks and goes now..

Just ordered the UMI adjustable upper, adjustable lowers and panhard. Probably overkill for my needs but looking forward to the increased traction.

Have the UMI on mine as well, no problems at all with them. They are tight, I was trying to move the LCA's this weekend and it was tough until I added some synthetic grease to slide the LCA's up.
