Few more pics of the Procharger rebuild. The rear output shaft bearing feels a little rough also. I am going to see what I can get coming. I have the seals on the way, Should be here Wed. I ordered two sets so I will have a spare. I also have the front bearing in hand.

The source of the leak.

Looks like there is a little RTV used on the back of the real seal.

Shot of the dual rear bearing. It has an aluminum sleeve between the two.

The mess from the leak or the shit is missing from the engine bay pic.

Here is how I removed the aluminum spacer. I used a heat gun with the large socket on top as a weight. There is no way to press it out of the sleeve. So I though of heating the aluminum to make it let go of the bearing.

Its really very simple. Its a case, an impeller, two shafts and gears, seven bearings. three alum pcs and two seals. And that makes a head unit.:thumb2:

Bad news, that center output shaft bearing is $260!! Good news is I dont need it after all. The bearing had a pc of trash in it from drilling out the broken ss bolt on the billet pc. The new seals should be here Sat. (they where supposed to be in stock and here Wed.) and hope to be back together and running on Sun. Lets just hop that bearing shows up on time from http://www.superchargerrebuild.com/

Good, bad and the ugly..lol
Very well put. The source for the seals has had VERY good customer service via email from the start and has kept me posted and responded very quick to all my questions. So far so good. I know there online rep though so I have to be a bit concerned. I will hope for the best though. As of now I still give them a thumbs up on this transaction and there customer service.

So what was the cause of the melt down...... Good write up btw...

There has been a leak at the rear seal for a little while. The issue came at the track a couple weeks ago when the car started breaking up due to the oil coating the MAF and causing the car to run bad. I also noticed when reveiwing the videos from the track that the blower would make a loud bearing noise at the top of each gear.

Here is the noise.

And here is the bogging from the oil soaked MAF.
