Will you start whoring the car out so you can have a sponsor? The potential is there

No. I have stickers for this forum on my car and that's it. Only time I have others is if there is an NMRA event or something of that nature. I'm starting to rethink the stickers I have now. Just not as clean with stickers.

Who said you had to run stickers son?!?

I do have a few on my car though haha
If you know someone that would be willing to sponcer me with anything, I'm game. As long as it parts that work! Maybe a 4.5 Whipple and a R-Spec manifold... Lol

Woke up at 4:45 this morning with a short block tear down on my mind. By the time the wife and kid got up, I had the block tore down and left for the machine shop at 7:30 am.

Sounds like one of my days when I'm deep into a project!

Which track do you go to, anything close around there?

I went to Lufkin last weekend. That will be my new home track since Crandall closed last year. I will also be doing some Friday nights at Ennis as they are about the same distance away.

Nice thing about Lufkin is, I hooked, stretch hooked, and all the big tire cars that come lay down the rubber. Last weekend was one of the best T&T days I have been to. They ,as the guy at the line say, love to put down the "sticky". Lol my son has a sound clip that is pretty pretty funny I will post if I can get it uploaded.

Lufkin is really far? Ennis isn't any good? I miss Crandall.
Lufkin and Ennis are about the same distance from me, Ennis is a little more strict though. I was a big supporter of Crandall till they closed. Really sad to see The Concrete Palace a auction site now for used equipment. I for the life of me cannot understand why a place like that cannot stay in business... One of the nicest tracks around, just needed a little more prep.

I've wondered the same thing. I loved that track. I don't frequent tracks so I can't be considered a supporter, but I only race 1/4 mile tracks. From me Thunder Valley is about as close as Lufkin maybe closer.

Sorry about all the trouble with those copper gaskets. I'm running the stock MLS gaskets because it was simple and cheap. Seems like people with similar setups as mine (25+psi 9.5CR 800+hp) have had good luck with MLS setups.

That was quick. Now to get it back together and in the car.

Short block is done, head studs in, motor mounts on, oil pump installed and rear seal is in. Just need to pick up my new Ford overbore gaskets and a new front seal tomorrow while in in Dallas, and I can go back to work on finishing up the rest.

You have to remember, I am just reassembling the motor. No need to check clearances except the deck height and it is good. Everything else is the same as it was. But yes, I am doing work... LOL I plan to driving the car again on Sunday.
