All I wants do is make it though 15' without some loadmouth 5.0 from Houston beating me... Lol![]()
Lol. I'm pulling for you Billy!

Im hoping for 3500# or so with no driver. I will go weight on a CAT scale after tuning is done.Car should be lighter and make a little more power, yeah? Might be interesting
First one may be the event in the South Central section here in Lufkin. I will hit the track as soon as they are open again to T&T. And yes, the new rig and trailer will be a life saver when we are sitting at the track sweating our asses off.Any certain event that you have picked out to run yet as long as the break in goes right?
I think a new driveway pull will be extremely motivating!![]()
That's the goal, 8.50s this year!
It's definitely the prettiest 8 second car that I know
I may could arrange that soon. Looks like I will have a couple more days off this week so, I am going to heat the engine to temp with water in it tomorrow afternoon and then drain the water and remove the blower to pull the valve covers so I can re torque the heads on Saturday morning (have to work Friday) and then I have all weekend to tune! Just need to do the gears and CAI on Masons car in the meantime so Manuel can dial in his tune this weekend as well.
Are you worried about the rings seating with that much idle time?

No, I keep the rpms up varying rpm while it is coming to temp. That is also another reason I went back with molly rings again instead of SS. Moly will seat even after lots of idle time. Ive never had an issue with ring seating. The one time I used SS, it was on a know good tune so I could just go out and get on it with some timing removed to be safe.

What is that 5th one, fuel temp? What are you reading that off of?
I suspect the thread lubrication you used has wicked off the threads enough to cause slightly increased friction. Therefore you reached your torque spec sooner due to higher friction on the threads.
