I have to wonder if they are getting these cars re-certified in the eyes of the EPA since a significant portion of the exhaust control system is being modified. Also would the factory warranty become void on these cars? I would think so.

Aren't dealers prohibited from modifying cars like this prior to sale, or are they "selling" the car and then "dealer installing" the turbo setup?

^^^ No they are not. This is an aftermarket package that they install after the the purchase has been made. It kills all associated warranty where modifications have been made. About the only thing left on the car with warranty from the factory is the paint.

I'm regional to the dealership. Done business with them in the past. I won't go back. They aren't a performance center as we would think of a performance center. While the hardware installed may be okay, the tunes that make them go suck. They may produce dyno numbers but they don't measure up when the rubber meets the road.

That's my two cents and personal experience with the place.

Aftermarket turbo car engine lifespan can often be measured in a few hours...
