Good advice!

Didnt find one local, so i ordered one.

Damn, first time I have even seen your build thread. Looking good Jeremy! Just curious, did you call around to our local fastenals? There is one over off witchduck and one out off london bridge. They usually have odds and ends like that. Thats where I had to find the big ass drill bit to drill the lug holes in my axles.

Lowes does not have that big of a selection of taps; we looked for one when we were repairing a hole in his intercooler and they were disappointing to say the least.

Yeah home depot was worse. They had no shit only 2 small tap sizes and one little 3-4 piece kit. I tried harbor freight they just had the big kits and none of them had a big enough tap, no pipe tap sizes either, just the unc stuff.

So i just ordered one, got to work all week anyways, also got 3 ft of fuel/oil hose to replace the heater hose that the power steering is eating through.

Side project is making the wideband wires about 4 feet longer to reach the new o2 location in the downpipe.

Good news is once i get the tap and get this oil drain fitting in, i only got a days worth of work to get the rest of it on, then i can start fabbing the coldside from turbo to intercooler and figure out where im mounting the bov. The spot i originaly had planed wont work because of the oil filter is relocated there, so we shall see.

I would be upset if I had to hunt around for something as simple as a tap and punch, things that should be included in the kit.

Yeah i was pretty frustrated, but i ordered the right part and wont need it till this weekend anyway so its all good now.

No, just want a 3/8" pipe tap which is like .57" outer diameter. Not trying to buy a kit, i saw 3-4 different kits like this at harbor freight and they didnt have the right style or size in any of the kits either.

Wheres a good palce to get some more of those little metal bandit straps for the header wrap?

do the down pips also it gets hot too. on a 6000rpm 4th gear pull the temp will reach about 1600deg f

I already did the up/down pipes, and have some wrap left over so i figured i would start on the other pre turbo pipes first.

get a turbo blanket too. it will keep down on the heat and help the turbo spool up faster. i coated all my pipes including the manis inside and out all the way to my side pipe exhaust tips and wrapped it all the way back to there.

Got one already lol see post #3 and 206 lol.

That is something i have planned for down the road though is the coating. Im going to get a feel for this 67mm and how much hp it will make and temps and spool time. If i decide to go bigger on the turbo i def will be coating the piping to help with spool time.
