M/T PRO Drag Radial users.....

Looking for a "starting point" with regards to how much air pressure I should run and burnout procedure.

Car is 3340lbs, PG 1.80 1st gear, 4.11s, on 15X12 double beadlock wheels. Trying out the new 315/60/15 PRO Drag Radial.

I know with my 29.5X10.5W ET Drags, the car liked 12psi.

I run my 275-60-15 PRO's on a 10" wheel @ 15psi warm( pressure set after driving car to the track) 15psi should be a good starting point for you- I did notice once this spring on a extremely prepped track the car would actually feel like it was bouncing on the launch. I feel like I should of added a # or so at this point but never did. My car at 3725#'s footbrakes 1.40's-1.41's. Obviously your set up is more dialed end and are putting a lot more power to the ground but most say to start at 15psi- As for burn out procedure I have always gotten probably more heat in the tires than needed but I use the extra heat to try to make sure it eliminate any moisture tracked thru the box by other street cars on regular radials. This all depends how your track runs it's setup of street radials and drag radials in the same lanes compared to slick only cars which 99.9% always have skinnies on the front. Your going to be able to sip on a beverage with those drag radials on the big end , car should feel way more stable.

I ran with about 18psi in MT ET Street Radials (old style) and the MT 275 Pro DRs.

Ok good feedback. Others are saying they don't require too much of a burnout. My M&Hs that I used to run a few years ago would really respond if I roasted them. One the air pressure most are agreeing with a 15psi starting point, but be prepared to go up. Your feedback lines up nicely with that. People are saying 15-17 range.

My car weights 3540 lbs and has been a 1.21 60 peddeling a wheelie on the MT 275 pro drag radial. I run 17.5 to 18 psi cold in mine. As far as burnout goes I start in low and immediately push to second to get some wheel speed going. Seems as if tire temp needs to be 30-35 degrees hotter than surface temps in my case

I run 28x9 Pro Bracket Radials. My 60' is typically 1.55 to 1.60. Car weighs 3420 with me in it. I run 15 in them at most tracks and 14 at another track that prep isn't quite as good. I have run as much as 20 in them at Norwalk which is so sticky it will pull your shoes off. I launch on the trans brake at 4k. I do a pretty short burnout. I burnout in 2nd gear until I see smoke coming off the tires then let it roll out of the box.

18 cold as a starting point. If it hooks go up from there until it spins. If the suspension is correct 20psi is a good spot to be in.
