Well, the trans is supposed to ship on Monday. So, in preparation for it, I installed the trans temp gauge.

Marc, you have one fuse in upside down. Looking good.

That actually made me laugh. I ran out and fixed it!!

The shifter handle showed up today from Yates. The handle came out of David Ragan's 2007 Sprint Cup car. It's kinda cool that a lot of these parts were once used by real drivers. The handle with the knob weighs 3.2 ounces.

You should get with Alan at SOS for a kick ass panel for the gauges and switches.

Great build, wondering what quick release you used for the steering wheel. I need to order one but I don't want a weld on.

hey mark for the speed you could use the skydrive from classic instuments. its a gps modual that converts to a signal that will work with the autometer speedo and veethree makes one as well. we have used them on some of the hot rods as well and they work great

I was reading on Autometers site that they just came out with a GPS speedo in the Ultra Light series. It only goes to 140 MPH though. I spoke with Autometer and the said they will build me a 200 MPH GPS unit.

On another note, I received an email tonight that my transmission is done and it will ship out tomorrow from Charlotte NC. He sent me a few photos of it. With the dual handcuff, this trans is rated to 1050hp and is designed to be upshifted and downshifted without the clutch. As I understand it. they are loud as hell too.

Good old dog box huh? That's badass. I know the rally cars that have dog boxes are loud as hell and sound like they are going to fall apart any second.

Why do you have a transmission temperature gauge? Are you using an automatic, or is that to monitor the temp of the gear fluid?
