Who is the manufacturer of the broken relocation bracket above???

I am not sure. It appears that the manufacturer designed them to be a bolt on, but clearly did not put enough material on the front side of the main mounting bolt. We put almost an inch of metal there, for this very reason.

I am happy with the BMR relocation brackets I have. Just did a 1.28 60' with a 3400 lb car last week. 200 shot nitrous right out of the hole.

Their new bolt in design works good for me--all though I still got mine welded in also, just because.

Glad you are happy with them sir.

1.28 is getting it!

I remember when you took them to the track bolted-in, and told me you were going to end up welding them in. You did go a 1.3X with them bolted, if I remember correctly?

Yeah, a bunch of 1.37 to 1.39s with them just bolted in, on motor only.

But its just not the relos. I run your solid double adjustable LCAs, solid double adjustable UCA, anti roll bar, A-arms, K-member. I haven't had a problem with any of those pieces, and actually very happy with all of it.

Awesome! (I knew you had the other stuff)

Can you send me a really good launch pic? With your permission, I'd love to use your car as an example sir!

How's that nitrous working for ya? Think you have any more room there in that sixty foot time?

I've had relocation brackets for so long (CHE, I think), that I don't remember what it was like without them. What is the downside to them, ie: why aren't factory cars setup with IC like these do?

Definitely. That 60' was with only 900 psi bottle pressure, and the tune is still a little rich for safety sake.

Nice run and great picture! What front springs / struts do you have?

I'm getting mine ready with CJ front and rear springs. I'm also going to weld my axle tubes while I'm under the car installing the ford racing diff cover. And while I'm at it the stifflers safety loop too. I'm curious how the car will launch after that.

updated my post to include front susp stuff: strange single adjustable front struts, and cobra jet (m-5300-q) front springs.

Nice setup. How much do the shocks/struts cost? With the 5.0 having more power than the 4.6 I'm hoping to get into the 1.7's with my setup. How much difference do you guys think that just the springs will make?

strange single adjustable struts/shocks will be approx $450 for all four. Check to see if there are any vendor sales/specials going on.

there are a few folks on here running Lakewood (90/10 struts and 50/50 rear shocks), but I don't know the price point on those.

If you're making that kind of investment would it be wise to save a little more an get the double adjustable units or is that a waste? If I ever get them I would consider getting the fronts first and then saving up more for the rear shocks down the road.

If you have a manual trans car, and plan on making more power than what a full bolt-on NA 3V makes, it is very wise IMO to opt for a good aluminum lightweight double adjustable rear shock.

I have been very successful in planning/putting together people's suspension set-ups for quite some time, and on a manual trans car I typically set the customer up with Strange Struts in the front, and QA1 or Viking rear double adjustables. The Vikings are becoming more and more popular due to them only being $189.95/each....which is an excellent value for a double adjustable shock made in the US.

I don't know how much power a "full bolt on 3V" makes because I've never had one. I have a coyote engine which is stock for now. I just want to launch the hell out of it and see how fast I can make it go. If a person could only budget money for one pair of shocks at a time which would you get first, front or rear?

07 stick car

1.64 60' leaving at 4000-4500 rpm

- Shocks... Racecraft N20
- Rear springs ... FRPP K springs
- Lower control arms... J&M
- Upper control arm... stock
- posi... stock
- Pan hard bar... J&M adjustable
- Pan hard bar support brace... none
- Gear size... 3:73
- Brand/ tire size... 28x15 M&H Racemaster slicks
- Clutch... Exedy Mach 500
- Anti roll bar or which rear sway bar... stock

Looking for advice on what I can do to get that lower. I've got a one-piece drive shaft already installed, and I've got an adjustable upper control arm and mount from BMR that I need to install. Would like some good advice on springs and shocks.

off to do some reading, thanks!

lindertw and Taxman, what rpm do you guys leave the line at?
somewhere around 5k rpm. I haven't installed my WOTbox yet (don't want to tear up my cats and/or chambered mufflers). Current tune has rev limiter set to 6250, I plan to try 5500 and 6000 rpm launches.
