I had my whipple race ported out to a 2.8 liter so it could pump out more.

I hate to burst your bubble but you can’t port a blower for more displacement unless you somehow manage to do it and put in bigger/longer screws at the same time (and there is no way that is getting done by hand). The blower’s displacement is tied directly to the size of the screws. No way around it. You still have a 2.3L blower.

I hope you misunderstood what MMR told you. If not that’s scary.:wtf1:

What?? I thought the blower size as tied into the blower cavity and how big it is. I may be mistaken. It's from steggy not MMR. It's kinda hard to read the receipt since the ink is kinda washed out. I will e-mail steggy and see what the details is.

Sure, the bigger the cavity the bigger the displacement……………if that extra cavity is filled with bigger screws.

Apologies to MMR, my mistake.:asskiss1:

I'm pretty sure you still have a 2.3L Whipple. There is no way to make the rotors longer due to case length and if he ported the bore of the case then you really just screwed the case up. The Whipple Twinscrew compresses air in the case before it reaches the outlet port and any porting of the case will cause a major boost loss and turbulence. The Eaton Roots do not compress air in the case and make boost by forcing more air into the cylinder than can be used causing pressure. The Whipple pushes air between the rotors forward and the Eaton pushes air around the O.D. Of the case.

There is no way for him to port displacement into the case. The only way he could have increased the displacement is by boring the case out and installing larger (not longer) rotors. No one currently carries anything like this.

Good luck with the rest of the build as I know how you feel. I haven't seen mine in 8 months and it will probably be another 1-2 months before it is on the dyno.

Yep went and saw the car acouple of days ago and it was still parked in the Parking lot waiting for the fuel system to be put in. Talked to Travis why the hell has my car been there for as long as it has for something that should only take a week and a half to complete. He said they have been crazy busy and have had some race cars they have been having trouble with. So I went ahead and added a line lock kit.
I'm really getting the don't care attitude and will just wait till I get the call to come get it. Hopefully it'll be done by Christmas.
Also I guess he meant it'll flow like a 2.8 kb. But he charged me 800 bucks for something and I trust Stegemier did some good work.
I start my new job at Lexus tuesday and I've been focusing more on that then the Shelby lately.

I really wish I just finished the build myself. I would of been done with it by now. Just thought Travis could have it done sooner since I was planning on going to a car show in Houston.
It just seems like Travis is just wayy over booked.
