Need info on this car, please

Hey guys, I just picked this up at DARCARS in Fairfax and pending the final ok from my bank I'm back in a stang! There has been some mods to the vehicle and I'm just trying to find out the cars history. It has a BAMA tune plate so I'm emailing them to find out what I can about the tune. I'm worried the previous owner didn't put the stock tune back in. Check out the pics and let me know if it looks familiar?

It's great! They even installed the AM rearview camera/spoler. I'm just worries I'm putting the wrong gas in it. It has a strong exhaust smell too but aperantly in VA they don't require a catalytic converter and I'm wondering if that's why.

I'd run premium just to be safe. You could always just look under the car for the cats.

There not there. I'm looking into getting some to put on. I did put 93 in it and from what I read on the forums as long as I don't push her I'll be ok driving it. Still makes me nervous

I'm not 100% positive on this, but the dealer might be responsible for ensuring the emissions are up to par before selling it to you. If not, I think there is a set for sale in the classifieds. If it's a BAMA tune, you should be fine if you're running 93. Better safe than sorry though.

Have the dealer put cats and a stock tune on prior to sale. You don't want to buy a problem car that won't pass emissions.

I goggled his name and checked Facebook. That's his plate that's in the picture I posted. Tomorrow I'm going to call BAMA and hope they will giver a parts list of what was in the tune. My buddy and I just got done looking around in the motor and it looks like he was buying all the parts from the project videos including the BOSS 302 manifold so my home work for tonight is watching all the AM videos lol

Good looking car. I just checked it out on their site. Looks clean. Def some exhaust work as you can see the passenger side tip is tucked in a little and the driver side looks right. But that's just some adjustment. Maybe have a mechanic go with you to do a once over. Good luck. Great looking car!

If it has the Boss manifold, it has a tune. At least I hope it does... Oh well I guess without cats there would be a CEL on the stock tune.

+1. What is done to the motor that you can see? CAI? Manifold? Headers? That's all going to need a tune. I'd def put 93 to play it safe till you have a better idea.

That car needs to have cats to be sold. It's illegal otherwise, ESPECIALLY in VA.
