Nice! You get that 60' down to the 1.9's you'll do solid 13.2's.

Is it factory weight?

Well not long after the last post, the kid had an accident. He wasn't watching were he was going, phone/radio, IDK Anyhow the whole passengers side was damaged to the tune of a $6800.00 claim on my insurance. That being said, the 1k he had paid me on the motor went to his deductible. We got the car fixed and it was looking good again. A couple weeks later a pc of steel falls of a truck in front of him and takes out the drivers side rocker panel. Then a couple weeks later he drove 2 days on metal to metal pads for two days! Well, that ruined the entire drivers side paint as it was covered in rust. I had to wet sand it to remove the rust from the paint.

So , to say the least, the first year was a learning experience for him.

That being said it has been 1.5 yrs and the I have finally started to think he is driving well enough now to let him have the motor I have built for him. He has put some track time and a shit ton of miles on the car.

This weekend I was not able to work on my car so I went to work on his motor. The longblock has been on the bench in the garage for months. I just wouldn't let him have it. After buying some springs and cams a while back, I knew the heads were coming back off to swap the springs. Today I did that. I used a Freedom Racing 3v spring compressor that I barrowed from a buddy. I used a pc of 1 1/8" aluminum rod instead of the cam for some extra room. Made the spring swap easy. I Had the RA balanced and ported the heads myself. Turned out nice. Here are a few pics of the car and motor.

Should be a 10.5:1CR motor. I also still have the ARH longtubes and x pipe in the garage as well for the new motor. I built it with a lot tighter specs then mine and a port job that is more in line with a street car. The ring gap and CR will work with N/A or with boost. The kid has a super nice Honda 250r with very low hrs for sale to fund a Whipple if y'all know any Dirtbike guys looking.

Just an update on the thread, the car is sitting in the garage with no transmission because it decided it wanted to take a shit on me a couple weeks ago. Good thing my dad "05stroker" knows some really good connections, had Wille up at Park Cites Ford take a look at the transmission. Come to find out the main clutches were gone:omfg:but with the power of Willies knowledge and the power of his hands we will be picking up the freshly built transmission this coming friday. Bringing it home going to put in some goodies like a TCI 3500 stall converter, billet input shaft, and 3rd and 4th gear servos. While the transmission has been out we went ahead and put the AMR LT headers and O/R X-pipe on and a TCI Ratchet shifter. Here are some picture of my car and its changes throughout the last year..

17 1/2 years old. I am 44 and I can't say that my luck has been any better. I hit a deer and totaled over 15k damage on my truck. Just not a good year!

And its a PI convertor with a TCI input shaft to be clear.

Nice build thread. So the Hot Rods are out?

No, the HR cams and the stock motor is still in. I am toying with swapping them in though. That way all the tuning is done on the stock block and then swap the new Long block in and adjust for the heads and CR when I know everything is spot on. I don't like trying to trouble shoot or dial things in on a fresh set of rings.

Only issue with that is the springs are not heavy enough for the 127500 cams. So they will go in with the new motor in a couple months.

Damn fuel line been at the house for over two weeks and I haven't even touched them. To busy at work, and a quick read of this thread shows you what I have been doing with my one day at home each week.

Since I have the parts pics I am posting them for Mason.
I plan to put the new motor in in the next couple weeks and let him break it in for a couple weeks. After that we are getting boost! Mason sold his 14' Honda 250R dirtbike and with that money we were able to purchase 99horsey's DOB kit. I just received it today and it looks pretty nice after only opening the big boxes.

Plan is to have it all together in time for him to drive it to Mustang week while I pull mine there. Should be a blast!

Since he is young, I plan to keep the timing very low on his street tune and have a track tune he can grow into with a few adjustments.

I will post few pics of the new goodies in a few.
