Hey guys here is the latest. This week I added 4.30's, alum driveshaft and an electric water pump. It went a best of

[email protected] with a 1.627 60 foot

I pulled a 1.620 60 foot after that but some how missed third...beat!!!

It was def hanging tire on that run!

Here is are a couple of vids.

The first one is an 12.42 but only a 1.665 60 foot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXR6P48eNUk

The second video is an incar of my 12.39 pass with a 1.64 60 foot

Sweet times man!!! With better weather you have an 11 second time slip. I know that car has a few more tenths in it. :D

Also I noticed the second video is sideways.

Thanks! Yea my brother posted the incar and didn't flip it around when he posted it.

I've got a question. My car is still untuned...is it true that the factory computer pulls timing and shuts the throttle blade on power shifts and past 6100 rpm?

It just seems like I should have gained a little more from the last round or mods.

Plus after watching the videos it looks like the car "noses over" on each shift.

Just curious

Thanks

Adam

I've never heard about the PCM pulling timing/closing throttle blade after 6100 RPM before. If you're really worried about it I would at least get the car on the dyno and see if the power is cut off at around 6100 RPM. A tune would be good too, you would pick up some substantial HP from that, probably 15-20. Plus if the TB closing/timing being pulled is actually a problem you could get that fixed.

Even though you're on slicks/skinnies, the 2010 mustangs seem a lot faster than the 2005-2009's ya know?

Yeah but even his stock time of 13.2 seemed fast for a GT.

A tune should hopefully give him a few tenths, maybe enough to get him into the 11's . That car is going to be deep in the 11's if it ever gets cams, long tube headers, and heads in the future. :)

Ya that is really impressive but has been done the 05-09 model as well.
The reason I think it is good is because the 2010's just came out, and not many people have had a chance to run a 2010 yet, so that makes it an awesome time. It makes me optimistic that people will get into the 12's stock on street tires, which is what the 2010 Camaro SS runs with a good driver. Now that I think of it, the gap between the 2010 Camaro SS and 2010 Mustang GT may not be that large after all. The Camaro probably is only 2-3 tenths at the most faster than the 2010 if both have good drivers.

Ok, I just read a thread of a 2010 gt with an x-pipe and flowmasters making 300+rwhp, now I see this car running low 12s with gears, drag wheels, and stickies.......Something seems off here. The 2010s seem a tad quicker than the 05-09s. Is it me??
Does anybody know for a fact that the motors in the 05-09s are the same in the 10s except for the intake????? Are the heads the same?? Internal materials etc.

They seem faster.

I mean this car running low 12s doesn't even have a tune!?!?!

Nice work, what wheels/tyres are you using? Your sig says UCA, what LCAs are you using; my 05 would have unscrewed the dashboard launching at 5k on stock LCAs!

60' 1.627

1/8 7.846
MPH 86.30
1000 10.297
1/4 12.362
MPH 109.37

Untill I scan it this will have to do.

The wheels are 17x4 Weld alumna stars with hoosier street radials in the front and the rears are 16x9 6.5 backspace(I think) Weld XP's with 26x11.50 ET Streets.

The upper is the Steeda Hardcore with the 1/4 thick plate and the sepherical end. The lowers are 100% stock and the 1.62 60 foot came with dumping the clutch at 5800 ha ha !!!!
