I'm just wondering what it is in the tune? Detonation so strong that it busts the jacket walls loose? That's all I can think of but I don't claim to be any kind of expert.

At any rate I'm looking forward to the build.

so im gonna eat a lil crow here.

Basically what we've learned here is that screw boring ANYTHING over on these cars and that a support mod is a must

Yeah tune was good. Im sure 11:1 + .10 over + a shit ton of boost + 1200 hp at flywheel = ticking time bomb. It lasted a good while and you beat the shit out of it

Yep, we have all seen that before.

Just my opinion, but I would go with the block that seems to be working (L&M?) or whatever JPC is using--because why spend all of that money on a nice build only to be unsure about its foundation, the block.

I believe the experts that say its the tune for alot of these failures, but I also believe that the block itself does have a weak spot--and thats it--and if the horsepower is high enough it will fail even with a good tune.

Well lost oil pressure on my stock block today. Shut it down pretty quick. Hopefully billet gears will get me back up and going for the time being while my block is being built
