So the wavetrac is already fucked too?

Actually i cant recall if it ever worked right. Its been doing 1 wheel peels since i got it. Might be a setup issue from Currie. Will have to call them about it

Thanks everyone. I just made it home now. 8 hours to go there, hook it up, and bring it home. Thanks James and Paul (and James's neighbor) for all their help with this. Thanks to Mike (NjsGT) and his brother for driving me home last night as well. You guys are the best. If theres anything I can do just let me know.

This was my first time towing anything, ever so it was an experience to say the least. I was very surprised that it only took me about 4 minutes to get the trailer backed up my driveway. It might not seem liek a big deal, but those who have seen my driveway know it slopes up and curves one way, and then slopes down and curves in the opposite direction, and I managed to get the trailer and truck all the way down which I am pretty proud of.

I guess i will start to tear it down this weekend as I have plans wed and thurs this week.

Glad you got it home safe. I too had to help a freind tow his vette home from the track recently. It always feels better to get your ride home. Good luck finding the issue.

Mine broke down at Bowling Green, KY and I'm in Columbus, Ga.!! Luckily we towed it up there. Thought I had trashed my 3650 and the new Spec clutch and flywheel. Turned out to be a faulty weld on the Spydershaft. $150 and a trip to the drivetrain shop and it was all better.

Hope yours turns out to be 'easy'.

Something similar happened to me a long time ago, it was the trans pump the one that took a crap, im almost sure your problems is either the starter is binding or the trans/converter are giving you problems. I am almost sure the coolant is isolated from this, probably you were already runing low. take the starter off and see if you can spin the flexplate.

Glad to hear you made it home ok. I really hope I don't see a part out thread and that it's something stupid that doesn't involve a rebuild.

well it seems like the news is grim. There was no oil in the remaining coolant, and no coolant in the oil. Plugs all look ok on both sides. Even removed the starter. Motor will still not spin by hand.

Maybe coolant went through the head gasket and filled a cylinder or 2 and just hydro locked the engine and is sitting there. You could still be lucky and just need to clean stuff up.

I'm not an engine builder at all but isn't that possible????

I am not sure. i would need some sort of boroscope i guess to see in there. I cant turn the motor to blow it out with the natural compression of the motor.

could the trans have broken? if the trans broke and seized, it would not allow the motor to spin either right? due to the flexplate being bolted to the converter?

Ahh...did you try turning it over with all of the plugs out??? I think you only pulled a couple plugs at the track right?

Kinda, but not really. If it hydro locks the rod will bend, and the underside of the piston hits the crank counter balance and locks the engine. Not as easy as a simple clean up....but measure the rod weight, check the piston and throw it back together.

Trans is doubtful. It would have been very hard to push and load it up. But the converter couples the flex to the tranny. A major tranny problem would be separated by the converters ability to spin freely. The tranny and converter would have to be locked for that to be the case.

Yeah, she's probably hurt bad, but not fubar yet. You didn't kick a rod and take out the block, so you're in decent shape still yet.

Did you take all the belts off/loosen? Not likely that one of the accessories siezed, but its easy to check. It won't turn, even a little?
