What about the Koni STR's?

I dont think there is a physical difference in those, in terms of strut mounting bolt-holes and spring perches (in comparison to the Yellows). I think they are just painted orange and the internals are different, but, I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, I do not have any STR.T Struts in stock. :(

my '11 sat very low in front. The front tires were actually slightly tucked in. The factory jack didn't fit under the front side jacking points, lol. I squeezed it under the rear side mounts, then used a second jack to raise the front, haha.

Glad to see the measurements got done. I had a feeling my car sat lower in the front it should have been and it makes sense why the shops struggled so much setting camber even with the camber bolts haha.

With the 19's up front and 20's in the rear, along with the shorter struts my car sits really low up front. I love the rake on it, but it sure likes to scrap on a lot of stuff.

From Left to right:

2011+ Stock / 2011+ Koni / 05-10 Stock / 05-10 Koni

The Koni's both measured the same, from upper strut bolt to lower spring perch.

The stockers both measured within 1/16", from the same upper strut bolt to the perch. As you can see, I set the calipers to the length of the stockers, and compared it to the Koni's....and it appears the Koni's are atleast 1/4" (more around 5/16") shorter. That should almost be a linear effect, causing the front to be roughly 1/4" lower with the Koni's.Glad I could help.

That settles it. Good tech info Kelly.

same issue with mine. Put the Steeda ultra lites and Str.Ts on last week with GT500 mounts.

My car:

Has anyone else noticed that with the Str.Ts that the first two coils are bottomed out on the spring?

Currently trying to get my rear suspension lined out now because it's very rigid.

The STR.T will not cause that. The spring stacking is due to the design of the actual spring.

If I had to guess, that is done intentionally, we do the same with our springs, those "should" be the dead-coils that are stacking, as you have pictured.

That being said, Steeda knows much more about their spring than I do, so I recommend calling them and verifying that is correct.

been in and out of the office so I sent a tech support ticket in just to verify. but starting to think it's a rear control arm issue more than the spring/strut issue.

The coils that are "stacking" serve the same purpose as the small tender springs on some coil-overs.

I have the CJ's in the front with the Koni STR's and mine don't do that.

I had a bad rake; 27 7/8" in the front and 29 3/4" in the rear, spoke with Kelly numerous times, bought a set of the BMR SP012's, removed the CJ rear springs and am sitting at 28" so I am 1/8" from level, thanks Kelly!

I'm running Eibach Pro springs and Koni STR-T struts, GT500 mounting plats with a TVS blower under the hood. Mine seems to sit fine.

It's hard to tell from those pictures what the gap looks like since the detail is all lost in shadows. Did you ever run the springs before the struts, because that's what we're talking about here. People ran the springs on stock struts, and then switched to Konis which resulted in the front sitting lower than it did before. It's pretty well documented at this point that this will happen 100% of the time due to the physical dimensions of the front koni struts.

If you went straight from stock to this setup you probably wouldn't notice, because it has a rake from the factory. It's really obvious when you put Eibach's on first then switch to the Koni struts, since the Eibach springs level out the rake, and the Koni struts brings it back.
