Must have been the tune. Someone said it's all in the tune. There's some guy on a forum that has 520whp for three years! He's only driven in 112 miles in that time, but still, 3 years going strong.

Tom, sorry to hear about your misfortune. It's one thing that your motor blows, but it's something completely different to blow it racing a Vette (I blew mine up racing a Silverado with a 427 and a 150 shot. Pissed me the F off).
