If anyone knows anyone who bought a set but can't pay for them, I would love to buy them. I really want these on my car, but don't want to pay someones markup. Although I wouldn't mind paying a little extra just for helping me out.

The guy I talked to from Shelby when they called for our shipping information said that he had another shipment coming in January. Don't know if all sets are spoken for though....

As of right now, they're all spoken for. Once they get through their list and if there are wheels left over, they'll offer them up.

Here is a quote from Jer Gervasi VP of Shelby Performance parts off the Team Shelby Website as of this morning

Glad mine will be here on Tuesday too bad I can't afford the Michelin Super Sports right now.

Jer,
You mentioned previoulsy that there will be some addtional Alcoas for sale on a limited basis after all the pre orders are filled. Any idea when that might, be as I'd like to pick up an extra 20x9 and 20x10 in case one of mine gets damaged. Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

My biggest focus right now is making sure our pre-order customers get their wheels as soon as possible, 100% fulfillment before Christmas would be AWESOME.
After that, I'll need to go through and figure out which "no call, no show" customers I need to cancel, then I'll have a final count. I would guess mid-January.
I'll make a big announcement here on the forums, we'll also send an email, and we will do that with at least 1 week's notice of the sale. The PERFECT scenario is that every person who wants these wheels gets them. They say "you can't please everyone all the time", but I'm always trying anyway!

Well they didn't call it a "pre-sell" for nothing. I believe once they actually go on sale that there will be plenty to go around during that time. And if you read their wording about never being available again, it specifically refers to these fifty year editions. 6 months or a year from now I'll bet we'll see yet another edition of these being offered up.

can someone please throw on a set of those ccw's already? i know you need a spacer with bremb-ho's but it should look so good! i can't be the martyr, i'm still bleeding from my current set of wheels :)

I would call Shelby. When I talked to them they said they would possibly have some extra sets that were canceled sitting around, just cross your fingers. It may be a little while until they can do inventory of what is actually stock and can be sold (that was not part of pre-sale).

I talked to CCW countless times and it is just not worth it. The lip would have to be like 1-1.5" and it would look goofy with a spacer even with like 1-2" of camber it would still protrude the fender. :asshat:

I am still really bummed.

I put my Alcoas away. Not sure what I'll be doing with them, but the market for them is gonna be flooded since so many people stocked up on them to try and make a profit. If I'm wrong, eh, whatever.

Cam your car needs both the CCW's and GT500 engine swap. You know you need a winter project anyways... :poke2:

So far that's the plan, excluding the CCW's for now :( . I've been scouring and calling every salvage lot looking for a donor. However we have a customer that is trading in his 2012 GT500 with less than 5,000 miles that has caught my eye. So it will be either option. I almost opted for the boss but I came to the conclusion it's not for me.

I know I'm being a huge hater right now, but what's so special about these wheels? Especially considering the price.

They look very similar to stock track pack/brembo wheels but polished.

They look very similar to stock track pack/brembo wheels but polished.

-They have this special polished "Durabright" finish which is unique to only Alcoa.

-Alcoa products are high quality.

-These are 1-piece forged wheels. For the money you are actually getting a deal.

-High demand since they are just great looking

-These are a web spoke wheel and the brembo brake wheel is a web spoke too so sure I guess you could say they look similar and so does a million other wheels too.

The negatives:

-The rear 20x10 had a offset that makes the wheel protrude past the fender

-20x10?? They should have offered a 20x11. Many have widened these wheels even to 20x11.75 (until recently, look at next line)

-Many wheel wideners are not widening them anymore since there has been splintering when they are cutting them. No one knows if Alcoa switched the material composite of the wheels somewhere along production.

Hey Cam, MRT has 05-09 GT500 new full long blocks for sale for what I think is 7900. I'm heading to MI so let me know, I could grab one for ya and trailer it back down. Just give them a call.
