I finally stared at the fuse box and ECU in my car long enough to get up enough nerve to do a wire tuck. Since the motor is out I can't do the stuff under the intake but everything else is done. I also removed some weight including the a/c under the hood and under the dash. Since all that crap is gone I had plenty of room to relocate the ECU and fuse box under the dash.This is what I do to kill time while waiting to get my motor back from the machine shop lol



ECU is under the dash in the center, just behind the fire wall.



Fuse box is behind the glove box, mounted via the OEM bracket slightly modified and screwed to the trans tunnel


Ran the wires through the fire wall through the old a/c line holes, worked great.

ABS delete is next to get all that crap out of the DS under hood.

I also received some brake line adapters today that I ordered for my upcoming ABS delete project. I test fit them and can now confirm the sizes are metric (no surprise there lol). The master cylinder fittings are M12x1.0 bubble flare brake and the smaller line fittings (both rear lines under the DS fender and both front lines at the caliper hoses) are M10x1.0 bubble flare brake. I found these fittings on ebay #RUS641431 and Amazon #FTSS002-AN3-M121 for anyone that might want the info, I couldn't find it anywhere. The M12x1.0 fittings shipped from Hong Kong!

After this was done it drove me nuts looking at all the PS stuff under the hood, that and the potential to reduce some parasitic drag and lose some more weight pushed me over the edge and I couldn't resist any more



Flaming River Rack is on order!



This is probably how I'll be routing the belt, looks like a 76" belt should work perfectly

The belt/balancer contact seems low, I would keep that section stock, you have two options (probably more), leave all the driver's side idlers out and go from water to alternator directly (which has low contact but people used it like that), or both in and return on the ribbed pulley, which I think puts some strain on it but mine has been holding up.

Still haven't received my FR rack, the funny thing is it was dropped shipped from FR the same as the u-joint and with both ordered at the same time and I got the u joint almost a week ago, supposedly the rack will arrive tomorrow, we shall see. Also, with the NMRA race in Bradenton coming up next week and since my machine shop still hasn't touched my motor I've accepted the fact I'm not going to be able to compete this year, again. I don't like it but I've accepted it. Guess I'll be doing some bench racing from the stands instead lol. On another note, with all the extra down time I decided to go ahead and order a set of Manley billet rods, which I should have done regardless, I know I was pushing it with the h-beams. Things have a way of working themselves out I guess. In any case I'll probably have my h-beams for sale in another week or so to help pay for the new billet set.

FR rack was finally delivered yesterday, and I was able to successfully install it. A very nice piece, kind of a PITA to install, it doesn't just bolt right in, at least not in my car. It wasn't terrible but also did not just drop right in place of the OEM unit. I had to loosen the brackets and twist the unit around to get it right, then slide a little toward the PS. Of course redoing the alignment was a PITA, that goes without saying lol. Over all it was 18 lbs lighter than stock, and it turns super easy, yes I know that may change after the motor goes back in! Here's a few pics:

Had to grind and drill on the OEM steering shaft a bit to attach the FR 9/16 u-joint.




Had to angle the FR shaft down a bit to clear the motor mount plate

Had to cut the ends off these tie rods..my camera wont take a close up for shit!

Got the alignment as close as possible until the motor is back in its home

That flaming river unit is nice, just curious as to why you didn't go with a kit like the one from race craft? This is no way meant to be a knock on your decision.

Lol, well aside from the cost, my build has changed significantly since it began, much more extreme than I was originally planning. Had I known this in the beginning I would have made some very different decisions, which would have saved a lot of time and money. I ended up buying everything one piece at a time over the past couple years, and replaced some of the new parts already for newer, better parts, I just never learn! Well that and I didn't know about it..

They are so pretty it's almost a shame to put them inside.. very nice..

I hear you, first I wanted 11's, then that wasn't fast enough, then 10's nope no good, and now low 9's is still too slow.

2 motors, 3 power adders, 3 transmissions, and too much other shit to even mention, I would have been better off just buying an already built race car.
