techco butterfly ram air hood. who carries them?

like the title says. the only place that i found it so far is stage 3. 1699.99 free shipping. im trying to get some more info on it. i would like to see any kind of numbers on this hood being a true ram air hood with the real working butterflies. you gotta admit it those butterflies opening up look

Gotta pay to play..low volume high quality products aren't cheap to produce. No first hand experience but their stuff looks pretty top notch. IMO, worth the price if you can paint it and bolt it on with no/minimal bodywork.

You can also get the hood without the heat extractor vents but with the butterfly on the BMC site for $1299....it's product code RBHD1 .

stage 3 said it would take around 4 hrs. of prep time for the hood to fit properly. for 1700.00 it should be perfect and ready for paint! i checked brenspeed for the supershaker without the super charger but i could not find it on their site. ill check again for it. who else has the supershaker? unless anybody out there has an extra 5-6 grand laying around to give me so i could just buy the whole package!

Has anyone found any pictures of the underside of that hood? I found a video that shows the butterflies working when the engine is reving, but I am really curious how that thing works and looks from underneath.

i really dont see how that could work unless its somehow connected right to the throttle body and the butterflies use vacuum to open...hmmm is this a true "ram air" hood?

Since the TB is not mechanical, why do the butterflies have to be? Maybe they are "(butter)fly-by-wire".
