A441 Heads. I'm gonna have the boost turned way down initially.. No class. Just gonna have fun with it for a while and see how that goes.
I initially built the car around the rules of the Outlaw 10.5 class of NMRA and NMCA (with the exception of a couple of things that are easily changed). The NMRA Outlaw 10.5 class no longer exists. The NMCA cars are now running in the 6.30s. I don't feel comfortable going that fast yet and I certainly don't have the money or experience to be competitive against those guys.
Things may change later, but for now I'm just gonna have fun with it. Realistically, from a monetary and time standpoint, I doubt I'll have it track ready until 2015.
I'm just excited to get the car home from the chassis shop so I can start doing most of the work myself again. That's where most of the fun lies for me anyway.
I have a few more pics when I get a chance to post them. You may notice that the front frame rails, shock towers, and firewall haven't been powder coated. That's because I need to go back and fill in holes and do some body work there. I will then paint those areas.
This is the structural tree that ties the front clip together and supports it. It looks like a work of art. It's a shame that it will be mostly hidden.
These are the frames that will support the Lexan side windows.
The k-member. It started its life as a BMR piece.
