Found a guy on Craigslist that has a TR6060 out of a GT500, he thinks an 09. I haven't done a whole lot of research on the swap, but sounds like I'd need a GT500 cross member, new shifter, and new clutch/flywheel.

Main question: what are the 6060s worth?

You just need a 26 spline clutch, you don't absolutely need the flywheel.

Some have got the stock GT driveshaft to work, others have said that it won't fit.

The difference in shifting between the TR6060 and the TR3650 is almost unbelievable. It is a shame that Ford didn't use this unit in more than just the GT500.

$1500 is a fair price. The demand is way down from 10 yrs ago. Stock driveshaft will work. You do need a crossmember. They are getting hard to find. I have a like new 26 spline clutch in the for sale ads. I'll give you a deal.

Wow that is quite the deal... I am unfortunately too far for pickup from Denver. Wish I could find that locally!

Ask him to ship it, probably $200 max. Also you need to be aware of the the different gears that come with the different years. They are not all the same

I had just assumed the gears were the same, thanks for mentioning that.

Found this info from Steeda:
Tremec TR-6060 Transmission Gear Ratios
Year 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th Reverse
2007-2010 GT500
2.97 1.78 1.30 1.00 0.80 0.63 3.28
2011-2012 GT500 2.97 1.78 1.30 1.00 0.74 0.50 3.28
2013-2014 GT500 2.66 1.82 1.30 1.00 0.77 0.50 2.90

Not really sure what I should be looking for, for my application. Car makes around 460 to the wheels and has the stock 3.55 rear end.

With a P/D blower, it really won't matter a whole lot. The 2.66 first will feel lazy with 3.55's and for many of us, the 2.97 still needs a 4.10 rear to feel alive.
As far as the 5th and 6th ratios go, the 0.50 6th is excellent for 4.10 or numerically higher gears but it doesn't make a huge difference in fuel economy as the decreased load from the 0.63 6th gear offsets the lesser RPMs.
Getting the newest one you can afford is probably the best advice.

I have a 600rwhp 4.63v that I put an 08 6060 in. 3.73 rear, I love it! I’d be hard pressed to use the 2.66 geared 13-14 trans, could be an irrational fear? Maybe someone has some real life experiences and will chime in

Wow, the page is gone now. Guess he sold it out from under me?
Sorry man, he made me a real good deal on shipping.

NOT!! Sorry. That's a shame. You don't see them every day. Hopefully you (and me) will find another one. I'm still wondering about the tail shaft swap to get rid of the remote shifter. Is that actually a thing or did I imagine it?

Especially when cross posted to another forum. Have you tried Midway?

Ha! I was about to get mad there lol

I'm fine with the guy selling it to someone else that may have been more convenient for him, but I don't think it'd have been too much to ask for him to just tell me...

Anyways, I still have the local guy that has just the transmission and shifter, but I haven't made him an offer yet.

I recently had my T56 mag XL completely apart to replace some damaged parts. What I found when researching parts is the T56 Magnum and the TR6060 are the same transmission, mostly. The XL stands for extra long, as in output shaft. The output shaft plugs into the input shaft with a pocket bearing in between. The 6060 uses a Temkin style tapered pocket bearing and the T56 mag uses a roller and radial bearing set. You would have to change the input shaft to match the long shaft pocket bearing. I was told the long tail housing will not match up with the 6060 case but have never seen both side by side. It makes sense to me that Tremec would make the housings interchangeable just like the gears, shafts and other bits throughout the entire series.

Just for reference, 2.97 , 3.73s 400 rwhp is just about perfect.
I also realized something, the MT 82 has one OD and 5th is 1to 1 vs xl with 2 od gears and 4th is 1 to 1.

Is there any benefit the 6060 provides other than a sixth gear and a higher torque capacity? If that's it, then just go with an MT82.

MT 82 is weak, has trouble shifting at.high rpms. Some of that is clutch related, some is not.
