So i have been thinking about biting the bullet and ordering a tune from Rick at Amazon along with a JLT intake. Rick seems like he has a ton of knowledge when it comes to tuning these late model stangs. Do you think i'll get a good bang for the buck going with a tune and intake?
it will put a smile on your face for sure..and provide a good base for any future modifications that you will add...the plastic tube JLT will be available in a couple of weeks..we have a package price for the carbine fiber/tuner for $699..not sure yet on package pricing for the plastic tube
since we give you free custom tuning with each handheld tuner and unlimited support for as long as you own the vehicle any mods you make in the future will be tune revised at no charge to you.. all you do is request a revision and it will be emailed to you..
there is no replacement for knowledge and expereince and Rick has many years of tuning experience and knowledge..he is one of the very few tuners who have been doing tuning since the early days of tuning. He has been in on the ground floor helping to develop many of the major tuning companies available today by beta testing and giving feed back from his hours of dyno tuning..
all his tunes have been developed from hours and years of datalogs from dyno runs and street and track..
we have personally owned each platform of Ford performance vehicles in cluding mustangs and lightnings and few assorted others like Tbirds and 60s musclecars..we have raced and modified them all..out latest stangs were a Whippled 03 cobra,05 GT with a Hellion turbo and now our 2011 5.0 GT auto
Rick does all his own work,is accessible and believes in one on one consultation with his customers(no point and click ordering here)..after all it doesnt matter how good a tuner is if you cant ahold of him or have to wait weeks when you need his help..
generally speaking getting a mail order tune versus a custom dyno tune can be a crap shoot..but when the mail order tuner has all the years of experience that Rick does and his tunes are constructed by hours and years of dyno tuning experience..you have nothing to fear from that..
Rick is willing to travel to his mail order customers to fine tune on a dyno in their locations or he can do remote tuning which is renting a dyno in your location and via email datalogs from the runs are sent to him and he revises the tune and sends it back to be reinstalled ..this is repeated until the tune is spot on
because of his background Rick is very good at diagnosing mechanical issues with the vehicle that might prevent the tune from functioning the way it is supposed to..to see his qualifications and background
www.amazonracing.com
we used to have our shop in MD and D
erek@Amazon still lives there..he is still active in the car scene up there.. Im sure he will chime in when he sees this thread
post up a pic of your ride..ours is sterling grey.. we have done a few performance mods and Rick has spent hours getting the auto tuning the way he wanted it..the car is awesome and the street tires are useless.. everyone who comes back from a ride in it has a huge smile and just shakes their heads at what these cars will do with just a few add ons and someone know knows what they are doing tuning it..
