The stuff you sent Monday...exhaust manifolds, clamps, hoses, etc. Is that the wastegates, the round things with S&H on top? I saw two of them.

BTW, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL job coating those exhaust manifolds!!!

Some pics of my progress and prep work. As part of converting from the Kenne Bell to a more stock-like top-side setup, here's some of the things I've done.
Mock test fit of a stock intake manifold; KB crossover still installed: (I didn't like that stock manifold. But I managed to find something else; see below).

The crossover is changed to a '05 stock crossover I drilled and tapped a couple holes, one for a temp sensor, one for the turbo return lines.

While it's all apart, decided to clean up some wiring near the firewall. When the KB was on, I did a COP wiring upgrade, and some of the wires could not be included in the main harness at that time. And there's a few extra sensor wires, too. So I redid those and put them all back together in a single main harness. Some driver side wiring up front was needed too:

With all that out of the way, time for mounting the FRPP intake manifold!

Of course the good stuff is coming very soon!!!

..we installed the exhaust manifolds on both cars today. They really look good

We had limited time we could do stuff today, but we wanted to get the manifolds on and make some progress while other items are still coming in.

Sounds good guys. All the hot side stainless piping will look just like the manifolds. Inside and out. Man i cant wait to see these cars in action.

I see you have an electric water pump. You need to make a switch under the hood and a bracket to put it in that will run the pump and cool the motor and turbos down quick at the track. The motor is the main thing. The turbos really dont care plus it makes more power the more heat gets in them.

Why would a switch be needed for our electric water pump? It's already on when the key is on.....?
I have an electric WP as well.

Got my stock water cross-over on. Stock Intake-Mani installed as well. (temporarily) As Mike said already, Exhaust Manifolds are installed. They look very clean. Nice job there.

Ready to install more stuff when it arrives.

Exactly what I do. Yes, when the key is on, the water pump is on. But being able to turn it on, along with the cooling fun, when desired, is very nice for faster cool-downs...good for the track.

I'm very excited for you on this build. I didn't have the patience to wait around for this kit to come together last year. However I'm very interested in seeing a forum member here like yourself do the install and to give us some good honest feedback on how the kit performs from a customer point of view.

True but if you only want your pump on and fan that is the best way. If i turn on my key my fuel pumps come on as well.

As part of removing and installing things, here's some weight differences (so far):
Items removed:
130 lbs - KB setup, including blower, intake, piping, tank, heat exchanger, hoses, filter, wiring
81 lbs - headers, x-pipe, oil pan, methanol
total: 211 pounds (does not include weight of methanol fluid nor intercooler coolant)

Items installed or going to be installed:
22.5 lbs - stock oil pan, stock t/b, FRPP intake manifold, stock coolant crossover
39.5 - box of goodies from S&H; includes stock exhaust manifolds (assuming I'm using half of the items in the box, and all parts will be installed on the car; stock manifolds are 18-20 pounds)
35 - turbos (shipping weight on box)
Total So far: 97 pounds -- remember, this is NOT the weight of the turbo components, but is a mix of stock items I've put back on and parts of the turbo kit.

The rest of the hot side and cold side piping and components will add to this total.
But so far, there is 114 reduction in weight.

Yes you will use half of whats in there but remember there are some thing in there like hose that you will have left over. Also you should weigh the turbos to see the exact weight. I would say the packing slip is off. My box weight is right. I saw them weigh it at fedex.

Just weigh the box and packaging after you remove the turbos etc.
