e85 allows for more timing on the same boost levels and is alot more forgiving and cheaper than 91/93 octane.

Twin kit, turbo cams and e85 and Im at over 600rwhp on 10lbs of boost on a low compression 281. Im making 60rwhp more on 2 less lbs of boost than my old single setup.

Yall beat me to it. Plus turbos love e85 because you have more volume because you are adding about 30% more fuel. Spools up faster and makes more power because of the extra timing you can run.

There's a valero somewhere near you that has it. Otherwise the closest to me is HEB at I35/Parmer. I have a couple 55 gallon barrels that I may use for transportation and local storage.

More power. Even with the same spark advance E85 will produce more power. Can't explain it other than the obvious things like more fuel in the cylinder, the fuel has oxygen in it, and it cools the charge providing for a denser mixture.

The btu thing just doesn't really come into play. I wonder how many btus are in nitro?

It is actually about 1/4 that of gasoline in BTU/lb.....but Stoich of CH3NO2 is 1.7:1
