All I have had is a stage 3+ spec clutch. It will hold that no problem, but many have issues with the drivability on it. I never had such problems.

Ram Powergrip HD. My car made 734whp and ran 9.90's @ 141 and I couldn't hurt the thing.

I really like my RST. I've had one with a 3650 and have one now with a 6060. Drives pretty close to stock and holds power.

You might want to think about a transmission upgrade if you are still on the 3650.

I've had good luck with Spec clutches, I don't drag the car though.

I'm running a RST now and love it!

the McLeod appears to be $900 right now Im strapped for cash. Im debating on just selling the motor and waiting another year. It sucks to have a 5k motor sitting here but not have the money to buy the other parts to do the install .

Are you keeping the 4.10's?

With deeper gears like that you really don't need a crazy clutch. I've had OEM clutches last well into the 600's rwh, and 10 sec timeslips with 4.10's and 4.30's.

IMO, Spec clutches suck.

I ran a Spec 3 clutch for about 40k. Replaced it with an Exedy 500. So far, the Exedy is worlds better than the Spec. Much more driver friendly. Dont get me wrong, I could drive the Spec just fine, but I enjoy driving the car more now with the Exedy.

I have 500+ rwhp on my 06 with a spec stage 3+ and I love it. Little rough in 1st sometimes. And the sweet spot is damn hard to find lol

Well I have a dss 5.0 stroker motor. Stage 2 bbr cams bbk throttle body pipes off road hpipe pipes long tube headers meth injection d1 procharger ford racing intake manifold probably some other stuff I cant remember. Right now Im on the stock internals and the car made 502 to the wheels at 10psi. The tuner said it had more in it but it would blow a hole in the side of the engine. I figure if I upped the boost to 15psi and with the cams it should give me another 100 horse I would think. Later I may do a set of heads as well.
