I thought there would be more ex Vette guys, I had a H/C/I nitrous C5 and I loved that car....great looking car..do you ever miss it?
Usually Mustang guys graduate to a vette and not the other way around so I can see the lack of ex vette owners here.

Miss it? Sure, but the stang is pretty sick too...

I miss my old 2001 V6 convertible. I forget the exact name of the color, but it was candy apple/metallic red. Tan leather seats, cute little Mach system...then I picked up my current car back in March of 2006. I was a Junior in high school at the time when I stepped up to the 06 GT and traded in the 01, but damn I miss those days! I wish I had some pics, but can't seem to find any!

Next up is either a C6 or 2010+ Silverado 2500.

I agree completely. I think we just have alot of people who prefer the 94-04s around here. One guy I know even refers to the S197s as boats. Which when you park an S197 next to an earlier car I can kind of see where he's coming from. But I definitely like the new cars alot more. Damn nice looking new edge you had though:thumb:.

Thankyou sir :)

And To be honest, I used to say the same thing....but after seeing them next to one another...they aren't "too" much bigger.

And My current 4.0 weighs like maybe 200 lbs more than my old 3.8 :p
And my new one has more power and MUCH better chassis and suspension :)
Not to mention the difference in tq!

I was supposed to buy an 06 White on Red convertible and then an 07 GT500 Vista Blue/ White Stripes and black interior. I drove each car for a week and just could not fall in love with them as I preferred the New Edge Cobra that I had. Stock for Stock I felt the 99 Cobra was just as fast plus I liked the IRS and the way they handled also I thought the S197 was too refined.

I wish I had of driven modified cars when I decided not to buy either of those cars because our project S197 is just about perfect. With the GR40 suspension and additional power its definitely better in every way than my New Edge was. In fact I prefer it to the 2011 GT Brembo package, having sold SN95's, New Edges, and S197s brand new it took me a while to like the car. I wonder what the future will bring for the cars, I love the transition from the early cars to the 2010 and later cars.

First car- 1965 Ranchero with 289. 4th generation in my family to drive it, and don't plan on ever getting rid of it.
Then:
1995 Civic coupe (was the now ex-wife's)
1997 Mustang GT Vert (bought for ex-wife, but it was really for me!)
2007 PT Cruiser (definitely the ex-wife's)
2001 Ranger
Now:
2007 Mustang GT with bolt-ons
