Put the car seat base for my daughter in the Mustang tonight. It's too nice outside to be taking the alternative to pick her up tomorrow while the wife is in class.
QUESTION TO PARENTS: HOW THE HELL DO YOU ACCESS THE OTHER LATCH ON THE PASSENGER SIDE? There's a hole in the seat for the center latch, but not one for the body side. WTF?
Any help, pics, etc. would be GREATLY appreciated.

I don't. One seat only has the top LATCH, the other I just use the inner lower one plus the top. On both, I still run the 3-point belts through & latch those.
I'm also getting pretty efficient at removing/installing them. Kid seats gotta come out for the roll bar to go in for track days.![]()
AED? Yeah he would be angry He's already paranoid as is.
Maybe I'm confused, you guys are talking about the anchors for the car seat straps, right? With my car seat I have to use both bottom latches, using one side does not secure the seat. I have to have both connected to tighten the strap.
Decided to sell it.
For an upgrade? Tough to get rid of such a nice ride... but an upgrade makes it easier.

With our first kid on the way this worries me. We do have an SUV, but if it's a huge pain in the ass to get the car seat in place and get the kid in and out, I'm not sure how much we'll like having one functional car for the three of us.
There are two loops between the bottom of the seat and the back of the seat. These are for your straps to latch to at the base of the car seat.
Correct. I'm aware of that part. The issue is that one side of the passenger rear seat has a hole in the cushion to access the loops, the other side of the cushion does not have that same hole to access the second loop.
There is only one opening for the latch on my car and it's next to the seat belt buckle (center). Both latches are THERE behind the seat, but there's no gap in the cushion for the outside latch.

Here is a pic with the locations. Notice the two little buttons indicating where they're located at. The body side is a horizontal slit above the first pleat in the seat back.
Here is a pic from a lower angle and you can actually see a little glint off of the bar.
Put a little lube on your finger and run it up there like you did on prom night. It might be a little tight at first but work it good and it'll loosen up.
If I am understanding what you mean. It should be there. One slot is vertical and one is horizontal. The body side is in one of the creases on the seat. A little hard to see. Here is a pic of mine. Hope this helps.
Tint, 20% all around, tinted side markers, front and back, and wrapped the hood vents in gloss black. Teaser pic from the shop since it will be spending the night there. I didn't want them to rush and I had to go to work. Also put my Hypermotive decals on to represent my boys. I should have waited till my dyno appointment next week though so I knew how many horsepowers they gave me, let's just say 50 per side [emoji13]
LOL. Leave it to S197Forum to trash up advice on hooking up a kid's car seat.
As I mentioned on the seat with lower LATCH straps, I'm just connecting the inner one and on both still using the car's 3-point belt in addition to that. The seats aren't going anywhere.
