I started it up for about 5 minutes then shut it off...it's been freezing temps lately but today we hit 43*! She started right up even though it has been about a month.

But I heard it's better not to start it up at all or is it ok?

I just wanted to hear the car ....

My car's been in the shop for close to 6 months. We normally start it up just to move it from one side of the garage to the other and shut it off until recently the car won't stay running..ugh!

I'm thinking the plugs got fouled...She needs to run and rip through the gears...;)

I changed my spark plugs for the first time. Hadn't done it on before on any car so I was worried I might screw something up but it was surprisingly simple. Managed not to bust a single one. I also changed the fuel filter which was stupid easy as well.

Installed UCA, mount and aluminum housing bushing. Then moved forward and tossed in a Circle D converter.

Finally got around to installing the GT500 splitter I have had lying around for well over a year. The balmy -5 degree weather in the garage was just too good to waste.

Know that feeling, I had to grab the ceramic heater and layer up a couple weeks ago to change the broken coil spring when it was 15 deg out (cold for down here).

Today...48 deg outside! (That's 43 deg warmer than it was 2 days ago) I FINALLY got my car back in 100% working order yesterday, just over 3 weeks after my spring broke. It spent the last week and a half in the shop thanks to a parts shipping problem and snow storm (OH NO---4 INCHES!!)

Anyway, the weather today was was too good to pass up, so I caught up on some projects. Detailed the engine bay, changed the serpentine belt (been about 20k since the dealer originally showed me it was cracking), and fixed some clearance issues w/ my CAI.

Damn hope I don't foul my plugs...

So it's better off just leaving it off I guess...

The key thing is to get it up to operating temp. Starting it a bunch of times w/out letting it fully warm up can definitely foul the plugs. I did that last year.

I did BMR LCA relo and sway bar relo. There was a lot more to it than I thought! Planned on 2 hours and it took 4 (had to go get an angle grinder). My 15x10s still didn't fit after all that :/
