Not sure if my headunit has an accelerometer, but it uses that to show pitch and roll :

Guys guys guys...

If you read the links I posted you will see they did a stock airbox plus tune on 93 octane as the baseline. They added the cai, retuned with the same fuel, and then gave you the results. There were gains.

As for beefcake's car being modded heavily his was tested in a similar fashion. Tuned and tested. Then new cai goes on no other mods. Retuned and tested. He got .1 ET and 2mph.

As for what a tuner told me. He said ANY cai is good for about 12whp with the hood up on the dyno and about half that under normal conditions. He also told me the gains from the resonator delete are negligible on their own. But you will pick up 6-7hp from going to over axle pipes.

This car is NOT a cheap to mod car. Yes 6rwhp is not a good value for $300. I can't argue against that. No way. But I didn't buy this car thinking it was going to be cheap power. If I wanted cheap power I would've got myself an old foxbody and swapped an LS1 in there. lol

Makes no sense. So he's telling you basically nothing from resonator deletes, but 6-7 from OTA's? The main gain from OTA's is losing the resonators. The pipe size is hardly changed enough to give those gains in my opinion. Plus I saw just last weekend my buddy pick up 3 rwhp just by deleting his resonators. Same dyno, same day, just a few hours later (when it was actually warmer). So not calling anybody a lier, but I just don't agree with his claims. I'm telling you, save the money and skip OTA's and just do resonator deletes dude...

He didn't say there were zero gains from the resonator deletes. He said I won't see the 6-7hp by doing that alone. He told me the stock over the axle pipes are themselves more restrictive. So it isn't just the resonators that are an issue. Either way 6-7hp for $350 isn't a good value like I said I can't argue that. But every little bit counts and I'm stuck NA for the next two years easy now.

Add up the money for the cai and the pipes. It's going to net about 12whp between the two of them. It's ridiculous money to spend for that gain. No argument. But look what people pay for driveshafts on these cars. It's not that different as far as actual results vs. money spent.

Is your suspension done? You have a tire? You may get more gains per dollar from doing stuff like that. Best bang for the buck is a tune on these cars (I gained 4 tenths), you got that covered, second best gain is deleting the cats (I just got an off road H, my tuner tells me to expect 2 or 3 tenths at least) you have that covered too. So that's why was saying suspension/tire.

I'm staying with the stock springs and shocks until they're wore out. While I do plan on doing some control arms eventually. Most likely zero gains from doing those with a stock stall and gears. This car isn't going to wheel hop like my manual 06 did.

Tires are legit. Had planned on getting some 275/45/18 m&h next year with taxes anyway. I can do that or just go ahead and get the cai and the over axle pipes, get the tuning done now. I have a set of 275/50/17 m&h my friend lets me use with plenty of tread left so the tires aren't anything I need to rush.

Still fiddling with the layout, love the data logging...

I haven't decided if I am going to get this app. The amount of data available will make your head spin.

I'd be very interested to see if the off road pipe really gives you those gains.
Please let us know.

Will update. Going to try to get to the track next month before the heat starts. My tuner, who has the same car gained .4 just by adding a off road H and a retune. I would be happy with .3...
