There is only one Torsen installed in the production Mustangs, and it's the new T2 (Ford part number CR3Z-4026-A, or FRPP part number M-4204-MB, and is actually the most expensive of the 3 you listed). The Boss 302R race car comes with the T2R. And the early T2 came on 02-09 Ranger FX4 level 2's.

In another thread here, we confirmed that the '13/14 Track pack GT's, Boss LS, and '13/14 GT500's all have the new Torsen T2.

I skimmed / read this post – But – if you look though my previous history, I posted the torque specks for the M-4204-MB.
I don’t remember off the top of my head what they are but I spoke with one of the engineers & he quoted me torque number whitch impressed even me. – not shock loading – applied torque.
I have a M-4204-MB (2.7:1 bias ratio) donated to me new for $250.00. If I were to pay, I would have chosen the T2R (4:1 bias ratio) “Road race / street only but not as strong because of gear pitch.
(No launches with slicks for any type of worm gear diff. They will grenade in time)
A Torsen / worm gear diff is not strong enough (in my opinion) for drag racing, even with currently available steels. The shock loading is too much for the limited worm gear surface area.
This is my fourth torsen diff in various application. First back in the late 80s - for testing designed for a 9” – 405 RWHP – 2872 LBs car with me in it. It held up under typical Road race applications. I blew up the Torsen in the 9” transitioning from dirt to asphalt under power. I made a mistake, took a scenic tour and was too quick to get on the gas again

For a gear driven rear end, I think Torsens are the best for paved road courses – Very predictable & no clutches to wear. They are much stronger (Steel & design) today then they were way back in the late 80s and considering the machining involved - stile cheap.
