I ended up purchasing a Fays2 from Sam Strano. Hoping it gets to my house soon so I will have it for my upcoming Laguna Seca day on 2/12

Took about a week to get from their place (or Jim Fay's) to mine in AZ, so probably another day max for Cali.

Would a Watts link, whichever design be worthwhile for a DD?
I hate to interupt but there hasn't been a post here in two weeks or so.

Or should I just make a simple upgrade of the panhard bar?

I have a Fayes2 on my daily driver. "Overkill" is a relative term. Ditch the panhard bar/brace and get a watts link. You'll be glad you did.

No matter what watts you go with be it Whiteline, Fay's, Griggs etc it wil be a HUGE improvement over your PHB setup.

I try to not oversell the benefits of the Watts to guys starting out, but yes, they do make that much of a difference.

IMHO, I have now gone back and forth from PHB -> Watts -> PHB, while having no other suspension mods (just MGW shifter and Whiteline trans bushing insert).

I can say this, with absolutely no other mods to speak of the Watts link made a profound positive impact on handling and ride quality. So much so that I decided I had to have another (thus buying the Fays2).

waiting to install my whiteline watts link.

I have high hopes!

a little worried about the weight of the watts link kit on the axle. Its quite hefty...

What up Foolio2k4. I installed my Whiteline Watts this past summer and it has been awesome. Install was straightforward. Just watch out for the listed torque values. If you have any question hit me up. Your going to love it.

I can't say enough good about my Whiteline Watts or all the other Whiteline part on the car! All top notch and the car handles like a go kart!

The Whiteline is awesome. I am glad I installed it. I have a how-to thread in my install in the proper forum section. I also describe the ride improvement in my thread. Now ...back to the failure...I wish Whiteline would reply to this. I may call them this week and inquire. If a re-design is underway, I want a new part. I don't want to risk breakage.

Actually I wouldn't worry about it. If a weld is bad it would fail pretty quick. I have the program for making a football out of solid 4130CM but until somthing happened I'm not going to worry about it.

That's good to hear. I'm hoping Whiteline continues improving all of their parts. Their bushings are really quite good. Especially now that they are going black. Less of a tonka truck feel.

Not sure I follow you on this one... "tonka truck feel"? They are not changing the durometer of the bushing just the color. I actually like the yellow and personally hope they don't change it. What all Whiteline did you have besides the watts?

I meant the yellow color.

I have the trans mount bushing insert. I had their LCAs ready to go on but I decided I did not want on car adjustable LCAs. My buddy has a 2006 GTO and pretty much every bushing and many parts are Whiteline.

You must have an interesting definition for "awesome" when you're concerned about their product failing, being re-designed, wanting a new part (revision), and hoping the manufacturer replies to engineering concerns and failures of their product in an effort to avoid risking breakage. Awesome...based on what evaluation criteria?

And I STILL want to know exactly HOW changing a lateral-location device dramatically improves ride quality... Particularly on the street, where vertical motion is most likely less than +/- one inch of suspension travel...

I would rather have the yellow bushing color. It is what makes them stand out from the rest. I understand some people want an OEM look to aftermarket parts, but at some point, you won't be able to fool anyone. I'd rather show off the Whiteline parts than hide them.
