3" exhaust

Not from personal experience, but reading and talking to people, it seems a larger exhaust is hurting hp and tq with the 5.0 NA? Good luck with your results! Hope it goes your way!

Seriously? Just a 3" OR/X is good for 14-18 RWHP. Bigger exhaust = bigger numbers on the 5.0.

I thought about going 3" exhaust after the xpipe on the old set up...but truly felt it would of lost...So I stayed 2.5" and made some great power. Every time I look at my old 3 valve I Feel like putting it on an engine dyno to re tune it now I would love to try a bigger cam.

If it doesn't sell I want to try it before it goes back into another shell

it depends on the setup, there's a chart i once saw i'm not sure i could find it. but the less power the less exhaust diameter you need. and with single exhaust it's obviously different from dual.

For Real? I better remove my 3" then, and all this time I thought adding the FRPP 3V intake and 3" exh. and picking up 45whp was good....

So no one then. :thumb:

Im not saying it's a for sure loss to go 3" on a 3 valve NA but for me to buy a new exhaust to take the risk for a few ponies Maybe... For a not proven gain was hard to justify at the time...

Sorry guys lol been slammed at the shop. My pops lent me a hand putting the cage in tonight. I had painted it a day prior to let it fully dry with the clear coat.

Sneek peak (more tomorrow with everything back together)
