Yeah, I've had them for a few weeks now. Bought them from SuttonHP. I was one of the first 7 people to receive a shipment of these cams. I know who 1 other person was... no clue who the other 5 were (haven't seen them post anywhere).

A-ha! You're one of the privileged few it seems. Those cams are rarer than Pine Snakes in Maryland. If you had a before and after dyno shot by any chance??? I'm curious how they compare to the Comp Stage IIIs that I have.

And don't get concerned about thread drift or language or taking hits. It's all in good fun, and when there is a tech problem that needs solved, this is probably the one forum where you'll find someone that's actually been there, done that. I see a lot of bragging and horse shit on other forums...

Wow, I thought there might be some decent discussion since you guys were dissing other boards so bad. I guess nobody had room to talk.

Anyways, if you have any questions about these cams, let me know. I'll try to check this board out once in a while to check PM's and other messages.

Here is a video I made after I got my newest tune from Bama for the FRPP cams - http://photobucket.com/albums/ii266/tribaltek/?action=view&current=FRPPCams2.flv

I'll be making a new video soon because photobucket's video compression destroys audio quality.

Good to see ya. Don't get your fucking panties in a bunch, it's all in good fuckin fun. :roflmao:

I'll tell ya what the fuck, tho. If you ever have a fucking technical question, this is the fucking place to ask it. Fuck man, there's way too many fucking fucktards on the other boards. You'll never fuckin get the right fucking answer from the other fucking boards.

:wtf:

I wish I did have before and after. Honestly, I haven't had my car on a dyno yet at all. BUT... once I finally get my long tubes in (hopefully this weekend), I'm going to get my car back up to Livernois and have then dyno tune it, so we will at least know by then what she's putting down.

Hey Bro, welcome to the madness. I'm glad to see someone actually has those cams. I was serious when I said I want a set.

AT THIS TIME I WOULD LIKE TO RETRACT MY STATEMENT ABOUT SUTTON SELLING POSSIBLY COUNTERFIT FRPP CAMS.

The white buffalo is real!

Wow, you installed those w/ out a dyno tune? I would be a little cautious with it till you do..Sounds good at idle though, but the true test will be how much rwhp you have vs. how much $$ you spent..

No offense, but the true test is what they do for your et. Everything else is just talk and sound.

No offense, but no shit...I was simply implying that if I spent $1,000 + on a mod, I want to see if it netted anything on the dyno...If the ambient temps are close to the same on the same dyno, you can get a better gauge imo..Plus i would get a custom dyno tune for the cams at the time when I installed them if it was me, but its not, so fuck it.

Oh trust me... you don't want to run your head here or someone might say something along the line of throw up a time slip in the low 11s or lower and we might actually give a shit. Until then... it's just as SD said...modding for sound. Because unlike those glamour queen sheeple over there, we actually have fast cars. But hey, at least I will give you more credit than most of the waste of bandwidth on TMS, you at least did something that involved a wrench instead of just double sided tape and paint. And it probably didn't take a donation to the board owner for his car or a write up by Taco Bill to get it done.

I have cams, and they are NOTHING like Hawgman's titS..
UH....fucking what?????

Still, bigger peak HP numbers doesn't mean shit at the track, especially if it costs you power under the curve at lower rpms.

Yeah, its area under the curve. Thats why I think I picked up so much at the track (2/10ths in the 1/8th) when I went with long tubes and x pipe. Only 18 rwhp peak more, yet there was a significant increase all across the board from 3000 to redline, not just peak. That translated to an awesome gain at the track.

I agree 150% Don..I try to keep track of rwhp when I do a mod..I just want to see if I am throwing $$ in the garbage, or if is making any difference...It helps I am friends with the shop owner and my tuner, I get a pretty good discount..I havent been able to make it to the track yet with the car(wife been prego:thumb:)..So the next best thing is the dyno and tweaking the tune with the mods I install that may need a tune anyway...

Dyno numbers are only a tuning device to let you know you have all of the engine parts dialed in to the best level of performance based on max tq and hp numbers achived during tuning. It is very hard to tell what those numbers equal on the 1/8 or 1/4.

A good example is light weight wheels and drive shaft. Removing "unsprung" weight is a mod that will yield NO net gains on a dyno, but the two changes together might get you .25 sec in the 1/4 mile compared to the stock wheel and DS.

Using rwhp gains to determine if you are "throwing $$ in the garbage" is not a real good indicator. Not all mods make a big change at peak hp, but can make huge differences in other areas (which are just as important). And seriously, how often do you actually have the car running continuously at the peak hp RPM???

The only reason I can think of to use rwhp as a measuring tool is if you are building a dyno queen for bragging rights, and not worried about actual performance on the street or strip. But oh yea, my bad. I forgot this is the fuktard cams thread. hahah

LOL, the last thing it is is a dyno queen..There are definitely alot of them around though I agree..Here is what I do know..My car gets tuned basically for free, so I take advantage of that when a new mod goes on..I have no idea yet what it will run at the track(I will find out real soon, the new born has my time now)..I can feel the power being sapped when its really really hot out, power cooler is coming so that should help out alot..
If I could hit the track when I make a change to my car, I would, but I cant fuking do that between work and the baby...Ill shut the fuck up now cuz I never make much sense when I start rambling like i just fuking:stfu: did..

Installing cams just for sound is for... well..fuktards.
That is all I ever see on most of the forums are a lot of inexperienced people who want to hear their car idle like it is missing a cyclinder.
Cams should be a mod that you install for better performance.
Dyno numbers are for dyno queens. Tell me what it gained you at the dragstrip and then I can relate to it. Stating you got an extra 25 RWHP at peak doesn't mean diddly.
