Bama seemed like a good idea at first, but Doug Studdard (who founded BamaChips) is a wizard with tuning automatics and he's over at C&L now. I'm thinking of trying him, Mid Atlantic Performance, and our local shop (The Mustang Shop) for tunes to see who can make this automatic & converter rock.

I have had a lot of issues with the tune/converter from bama, I am thinking TMS Evolution or maybe the c&L guy like you said

A new PB for me tonight. I doubt it will last long as the cool air moves in. I'm also just seeing what the stock motor will do before I swap in the built short block and stage 3 heads.

For this pass I'm running a completely stock 281 3V with a Tremec T56 6 speed trans.
TVS1900 (Roush) supercharger 12 lbs of boost
3.73:1 gears
Hoosier QTP bias ply tires

My best run ever. Cedar Falls Raceway in Iowa today. DA was in the +1200 to +1300 range with a mild crosswind.

2011 GT base automatic. Circle D 5C converter, Airaid CAI, Boss intake manifold, Pypes off-road x-pipe, JBA axleback, Mike Rousch (Mid Atlantic Performance) custom tune for the 80% 92 octane / 20% E85 mix that I tend to run. 255/50-16 Mickey Thompson DRs on cheap 16x7 wheels on the back, 99-04 Mustang GT 17s in front. Spare tire taken out but otherwise full weight plus my 240lb self. Factory exhaust manifolds, gears, and driveshaft. Factory suspension with lowering springs and front sway bar disconnected.

Yeah, you!

If it wasn't you there was a car at Sacramento on Saturday that looked just like yours.
I have a twin?

I'll update the sig when I get a time I can respect.
This is a new combination and the tune wasn't quite right.
It should be closer to the bottom of the 10's. When I see 10.1 or 10.2 I'll update my sigs on all the various Forums...until then I'm on STRIKE!

On another note, I saw your car there but never got to see you run. Too busy juggling plugs and pulleys and yelling at the computer.
Your car looks even better in person than it does in pictures. My favorite car of the day by far.
yeah there was more wicked looking stuff for sure, but that s197 looked like a real car, and it hauls ass.
It's understated yet viciously fast...I like that.

Thanks. Its not as fast as my Lambo though. :chairfall:

I really wanted to break into the 5.40s but it wasn't meant to be. I could only manage a best 5.57 @ 127mph. Bottle pressure too low. Long story.

I feel ya-Boost level too high. Long story there as well.

Nothing like a little dick in the dirt to humble one into working harder on things formerly taken for granted.
I for one will be back out in the next week or so looking for that 10.1.

I hope that we both find what we need.

Sounds like it was a pretty crappy grudgefest for all of us (car wise) best I could manage was a 9.88. Had AED put in a shift light, apparently the shift light helps you hit the rev limiter more ofter WTF! The 6 hours of sleep and having a tequilla hangover didn't exactly help much either.
