Ordered 4.10s, install kit, and a solid pinion spacer. Just need a new diff and fluid. Too bad I can't afford a tru trac right now.

I appreciate the offer, but used gears are a gamble I'm not willing to take. They are cheap enough that its not worth the headache! I have terrible luck when it comes to doing stuff on the cheap. I always get bitten in the ass. Which is why I'm ordering a new diff instead of repacking the clutches lol.

I hear that man, no worries.

I would almost just order a new axle for all the trouble it's worth. Installs aren't cheap and doing it yourself it's a pain in the ass.

My buddy Mark is supposed to be doing it for me. Hes been doing trans and gears for 20+ years, so I'm not worried about the install. Hasn't given me a price yet, but hopefully its reasonable. So far I've scored all the parts for $300, and my diff is gonna be free, so its not that bad really. I should just change the pinion seal out since thats the reason I'm doing this, but I might as well do all this crap anyway at 110k. I'm sure my clutch packs aren't too far behind.

I did consider the new axle, but they are only available in 3.73 or 3.55. I've already got 3.55s, so the jump to 3.73 isn't worth it IMO. If I can get all this done for $600 or less, I'll be happy as long as there is no whine.

Gloss black or even matte is not an option.
So far I'm looking at sandblasting them to bare aluminum and then clear coating that, another dark grey with metallic flake, or dark bronze. I'm leaning towards bronze ATM to change it up, but not positive.

Cam, these are all good ideas. The right bronze can look very good on black. The wrong bronze can look like crap. Careful with whoever powder coats your wheels. I've had bronze come out like poop brown. The OG standard for the right hue is Volk Racing's bronze. What sucks is that it's anodized, so it's tough to replicate, but you can get close.

The HRE bronze you posted is nice too. Remember, you're not limited to one coat on powder coating. I had a set of wheels powdercoated in a medium tone grey (lighter than your Roti's) and finished in "casper clear," which was a satin/opaque finish that gave the wheel some reflective value without looking like a sparkling metallic. This was on Prismatic Powders color palette. Lots of shops use them. Here's a link to their website, they have tons of colors and a good gallery. The wheel I had looked like this; grey, but revealed more detail on the wheel with the reflection:

I would suggest a tinted clear for the sandblasted wheel, but I don't know if it will look right. It looks good on freshly machined/brushed wheels, but sandblasting will leave a very uniform finish. Here's a tinted brushed wheel. they goofed up on tire size :/

A few other ideas:

Here's sandblast+clear. You'd see detail on the Roti's much better. Just don't think about cleaning them.

The guy who repairs the wheels at our store does a really good job at replicating wheel colors. I'm like 90% sure I want to do dark bronze though. You are right though, bronze has a ton of different finishes. I want something with a metallic flake, but satin finished. For some reason after touching the current finish on the Rotiforms, they have some terrible grime grease marks that do not want to budge.

The sandblast clear or with a tint would be very nice too.... damnit

Try using WD-40 on a rag to remove the smudges.

The Rotiform wheel above is a machined finish with clear over it. Sandblasting the wheels won't have the same finish (at all). They'll look like that blue M3 above. It still looks good, but it'll resemble a light cement color rather than a machined finish.

...sometimes the brushed/tinted finish is magical though.

Love the Bronze Idea. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

What is that, and who makes it? I was going to just put a small aluminum box there, run the cables from the battery to the box, use some bulkhead posts and connect the OEM cables to it.
