what you're all forgetting is Gabe's wife's name is.......................... Catherine.... he calls her Cat for short...
Yeah builders love 16" on center but for what you are making an unnecessary expense and as you said too many studs.
Still looking good though
Thing is....cats...they don't care. LOL!! But I bet they will love being outside in it. You could probably remove every other stud and use the removed stud to double up the remaining stud and make it feel more open.
Being in NH and that being near flat roof, snow load could factor heavily. No pun intended.

Great idea love itDid a makeshift safe-distancing Halloween 2020 setup.
Kids and parents all loving it.
Kids walk up, say "Truck or Treat!" and candy comes down the pipe.
Like a video game where they end up with candy!

It was like 1 house out of 4 that was passing it out. The ones that were passing it out were going all out. Full size candy bars, hostas cakes and one couple was handing out spiked hot cider, boxes of crayons, boxes of markers, coloring books and candy. It was the good crayons and markers too lol. Hot cider was damn good. Are you guys back in Michigan or SC?We didn't get a single person this year. We never seem to get many, but this year there were none. A little surprised because we have some new neighbors, with kids, and they had lots of Halloween decorations out.
Looks greatTo add to things actually done to the house, I recently completed the deck railing. Went with a black Wild Hog railing setup, 4" squares, about 42" tall overall. The Wild Hog panels are 36" tall, plus about 4" below and the wood thicknesses below/above. The top pieces are 2x6 cedar. I used my table saw to cut grooves into the pieces of wood for the railing panels to sit into, then the toppers have their own grooves on the bottom for the top of the panels to sit into. Love the final look. Still have to do the railing for the stairs.

Well it's beautiful but that sucks! Lol it was snowing here today but no warm to stick well at least where we are.
Started cutting up some old oak for fire wood. Thinking at 56 might be time to buy a log splitter
ExactlyDon't you already have a log splitter?
He's called a son...
Spent the day reworking the power cables, speaker wiring and component placement of my home theater set up to update the 14 yo tech to modern 2020 hardware. New OLED 65” TV and 165W 4K capable AV receiver.
my knees and thighs are hurting but damn does the shit look and sound awesome.
I went with a Sony str-dn1080 - so far I really like it, the new ARC tech these things have is great in making the set up easy for streaming apps through the surround sound, great sound to my KEF speakers F/R/C and a Velodine Subwoofer, the new TV is a LG OLED 65", I got both on black Friday deals. What receiver did you go with? What's the rest of your setup? I'm surprised we don't have a HT thread here.
