Says "FordMoCo some numbers then FA"

So I guess FA is what you are looking for?

Yes!! Your engineering change level is "FA". Current production is "KA". That means there have been 5 revisions/changes/improvements made to the design of the phaser since yours were produced. Sure hope you don't have any issues down the road with yours. That is why I changed mine during my overhaul. Supposedly the newer phasers are more reliable.

Yup, no such luck there... 0 for 8. Torque wrench set at 25 and only popped a couple times. Then I went back and fourth as instructed and still broke every single one... :/

Here are 4, the other 4 are stuck in the heads separated and won't move. So I will make a couple calls tomorrow for some help... On to something else.

Holy shit!! I don't think I know of anyone that has broken all 8. How many miles are on your vehicle? Be sure to use the nickel anti seize when you reinstall the new ones.

Well I am not messing under the hood the rest of today. I am going to start some of the other things now. I need to figure out the cost of getting these plugs removed now... I guess at 64k miles it was bound to happen.

My mother always told me to be the best at something, but I don't think this is what she meant... haha

When taking plugs out, I always pull the coil's, spray some bolt/nut loosener spray down around the plugs, let it sit for about 20-30 minutes, spray again, and start working them out.....haven't had one break yet....(knock on wood).....

Dude, you are working your ass off....LOL....Which is what I need to be doing...

+1

I have had to let a few with very high mileage sit overnight after spraying

Oh, i hope that goes well i mean it shouldnt be that hard. Except that you have to pull everything off to do that.

That sucks about the plugs. I brought my car to a shop the first time to get my plugs changed around 70k miles. 5 out of the 8 broke off on them. Now I just take them out, put some anti-seize and put them back in about every 5k miles.

I did one better... I sprayed the plugs before I started the cam install. Turned them a little bit and then let them soak over night even.

It's just time consuming, but I have extra switches.

Ordered the spark plug tool... Put that on hold for a while.

Gotta repair the Aeromotive fuel rails and then starting the 8-rib kit...

UPDATE:

Got the rest of the broken spark plugs out... Managed to get all 3 types of breaks. I know I am awesome but man, this awesome?

Also plugged the un-needed hole in the fuel rails.

Started some of the led changes...

Got all pulleys off but the Power steering and Crank... Gonna have to find a more powerful impact wrench for the crank and a different puller for the power steering pump.
