well , the whole weekend the car was spinning hard.... like 1.68-1.69 sixty's :( Anyway im off the pace running 12.1'a and 12.2's and most were running the same. I was cutting .030, .015, .045 etc etc lights so I was really killing the tree... first round spun the tires more then ever -_- I got a .033 light She got a .223 and got me at the 1000-1100 foot mark .. I ran a 12.26 to a 12.00

I am very pissed to say the least because my driving was bang on. Forget these et streets. Full slick time... not giving up yet, but dam I have never been so bent about loosing in the first round, I should of gone some rounds if my car was on the money -_-

I have personally had better luck hooking the MT ET Street Radials more than the Et Street bias ply's.....

Lately I have been having similar problems not hooking well on ET Streets I'm hoping that changes around for me this coming saturday's race.

How old / how many passes do you have on the ET Streets? I know that after 30-40 passes, the M&Hs I used to run would start spinning when they would normally hook---as they got older. But, if your going to buy some fresh ET Streets, you might as well make the jump to the ET DRAG.

hey guys hows it goin? i have been playin with my 07 gt for about a year now and just recently started running times i think it should. i have been folowing a lot of things matt has done with the car lately and plan on using a lot of those tips soon. no 1/4 mile tracks near by but i have an 1/8th 5 min down the road. as of last friday my best is a 8.29 at 86 on stock 17in wheels and perreli tires on 18lbs. 1.93 60 ft. the da was around 2000ft, 93% humidity and 80*. i have tunable inductions intake, home made d/p's, jba equals, o/r x-pipe, slp axle-back, 4.10, and i tune it myself with hptuners. other than exhaust i have done nothing to lighten the car. im going to shed ever pound i can without sacrificing my driving comfort. i drive it 50 miles a day. i want a 7.99 1/8th on stock 235/55/17 perrelis and i will be sawin off f-bodies:chainsaw:

How hot was it out there Matt? Full slicks will help as mentioned. It is nice to run a new set of tires to get some good traction.

We have had some hot weather latley... 20-25 degree's C
I figured as much. When it is hot , I find that not heating the tires up as much seems to help the hook up. Your going full slicks so it really does not matter. Your going to see a big improvement now with the new tires. I could not hook up, untill I got the Eibach Drag launch kit.Yea I use the air bag.LOL. I also went to M&H racemasters ,just recently. I think you are fighting the heat again, maybe a cool day will come into play for you. Best of luck next run!

Thanks man, I just want to be able to dump the clutch above 6000 rpms again... right now im pussying it with 5000 rpm launchs blowing the tires off xD

28's should look bad ass aswell.

I tried 8,9,10 psi on these current et streets this weekend and all came up with crappy sixty foots.

You might want to cut your rubber bumper(on the axle) down to the first rib. It will help a lot also. What happens is you hit down really hard on the rubber and it bucks the car, this causing you to blow off the tires. Look under there and see if you are hitting the metal above. My bet is you are. This is what I had to do to quit blowing off my tires. You are almost there,I could not get any better than a 11.930 untill I did that. Amazing how traction helps.
