Changing it up a little bit :evillaugh:

On my black drag rims I will actually be going to a smaller tire... 26x10 MT stiff side wall slick (pure street style tire) so it will be smaller overall Dia (even more gearing) then my old 28x10.5's

On my polished bogarts I currently run a 275/60/15 MT Street radial on the street.... once I wear those out I think 325/50/15's are in order to hook even better on the street :beerdrink:

I need to run 28's on the street to keep the rpms a bit lower on the hwy :roflmao:

They must be a lot cooler there about street racing... lol Please tell me you can hang the hoops leaving a light on the street... I've always wanted to do that. hahaaa

no.... they are very strict here on street racing. 50km over the speed limit instant impound of car and $2000-$10,000 charges. I have calmed down on the street. But 4am saturday night on an empty road I giver time to time :beerdrink:

I have launched my car pretty good at some lights though :roflmao: full suspension travel front end comes up but not lifting... I launch it about 3-3500 slip on the clutch sorta quick and it grabs. I roll 12lbs of air in the rear drag radials on the street all the time lol

I've been tagging along with this build and have a little catching up to do but I really have to compliment Matt, excellent job and write up. P.S. one of these days you'll see the light and scrap the manual trans! LOL

This car will never see an auto never. I have a 2 speed glide in my race car and I hate it. Even running 8.7s in that car feels slower then my 5 speed stick running 11's.

So my cage arrived today.. Unfortently It's wrong. amazing piece of art except it's mild steel instead of Moly so back to texas it goes....

You just can't win with this cage

Seems that way -_- lol.... If I didn't need one I wouldn't put one trust me... I did run last eyar without it pushing it at the local track. But Im not going to spend all this time and money making everything super light then add more weight then I really have to with the cage. It weighs 85-90 lbs should be about 60 the moly one.

I accounted for the 60 lb gain onto the car not over 80 lol

I might sound crazy but every lb is counting at this point

Matt, It's a sign, take your car to the chassis shop, they will make it lighter than the bolt in...Just sayin

Sick!!!! The speedo has the connection to go to the trans sensor correct?

I have my shift light that will be in the middle , Also I have some small sheets of carbon fiber that im going to mock up so sit as a background. Will match the carbon gauges.

Im very excited to finally use my big tach with play back... I want to be right on the money with everyshift

What size are those gauges and how do you get the speedometer to work?

5 inch gauges.
I will be running a TH400 when the car is back together so there will be no problem hooking up the speedo

I am most likely going to put the shift light there along with some plastic or something to block off the back of the hole..

so how did you get the car to start with the odometer unplugged since it will not start once you unplug it? The only ones I have seen work are theses gauges with a standalone unit like the fast or BS3?

Great build, just joined today and read the whole thing! couldn't stop. You remind me of me when i was younger. I worked at my dad's shop and built Drag cars at night after work( in the 60's and 70's. I am 60 now and drive an 09 GT i work on it all the time( it takes all the time) LOL. It run's low 12's. My daughter takes it all the time, so i want to give it to her and take her 08 V6 and put a 5.0 in it! Will the kit you bought work with a V6 body? I already pickup a 9" and a tr6060 for it.
