hello. im alex. many of you know me as alexthejew, the dude with the really low mustang, or the obnoxious kid with the mustache fucking his car up. I want to take this first post to thank all of you at s197forum.com for teaching me a lot of what i know today. my 1000 posts here has been fun, and i hope to share many more things with you. this build would not be possible without a lot of your insight.
today, on my way home from work, i hit 87k miles on my car. i am the original owner. i was given the car february 26, 2006. i was 16. i was dumb, but i loved the car. i didnt want to do anything to hurt it. i didnt want to mod it. that didn't last very long. my friend bought an intake for his 350z and to match him, i bought slp loudmouths. that was the beginning of the end. i was in high school, making minimum wage, so there was not too much i could afford for my car. exhaust, intake, 4.10s, a tune, and that was the extent. i had an older friend with a 500 whp tt 350z. from the moment i rode in his car, he rolled onto the throttle in 3rd gear, and the back end started to come out, i knew that all i wanted was a retarded fast car. i've been striving for it ever since then. my progress thus far:

here is the plan. i know stupid fast is only achievable with a built motor, so that is what i plan to do...
production aluminum 4.6 block stock bore and stroke.

(the short block could be a stronger one with i beams if budget permits)
stock head castings
1mm oversized valves
port job
bronze guidesdeck surfaces

performance springs
new seals
livernois stage 4 blower cams
ford racing blue valvecovers (just for status)

bmr k-member with a arms
the goal is 800 wheel, but i know that my tranny can't handle that. if i cant afford the tranny right away, ill hang out with 550 wheel until then, but for drivetrain:
tremec t6060
built rear (havent decided what to go with yet help me out please)
this is probably going to be a long term build (next 3 months or so).
