Hey guy and girls!

I purchased a wrecked 08 GT Convertible and have been getting it ready.

I wanted to document my process to share with anyone considering it

I have a YouTube Channel in which I am showing the different stages of the build.

Follow along and provide any feedback

While I am not a pro, I am loving this process and cant wait to get it on the road...

New paint (orange peel galore) next to old paint (hoping a good wet sanding and buffing session will fix it):

pics during repair on the bench at work.
i had to use the old bench with manual fixed gauges because the drive on rack with electronic measuring system was in use on other jobs.
this was the first time i used this old stuff in about 5 years and haven't used it since.

couple pics when finished and ready to get striped.
job took 3 months to do. i worked on it during my free time between actual paying jobs and working after finishing up at 5 pm when the shop shut down and when the service department was open until 7pm.

That's awesome man - your skills and finished product speak for themselves

I hope my build looks similar :)

Good work!

This is tech? I pretty much never post in tech because well, because s197forum, honestly mods it might help us to understand the unwritten rules if we ever saw a thread moved to tech vs only moving them out, and randomly at that apparently.
