So, after I blew, actually disintegrated a spark plug at my very first track event after getting the motor rebuilt, I've been consuming oil ever since.
Spark plug #7 post track:
New replacement plugs with several hundred miles...
I just checked the #7 plug and its chard black...so motor is coming out for a 2nd rebuild.
This is the third time this motor is getting built. sigh
Interesting find is the white stuff in exhaust runner #6 and #8. What does this indicate?
Cylinder #8
Cylinder #6
Coincidentally, cylinders #2 and #4 have the same deal... What is this? Is this a LEAN indication?
Cylinder #3 and #4
Cylinder #2
Intake manifold is clean, but oily.
But check out the blower rotors... sigh
My best guess is that when the spark plug disintegrated, the porcelain must have blown up into the head and into the blower, churning it between the rotors and back into the motor. sigh
All done for the night... Need to get a pulley puller to remove the crank damper. I need to find instructions on how to remove this one.
