As title states, which water pump should I buy?

I was just going to go OEM (M otorcraft PW496 ($79) but I see Edelbrock has their Victor series ($189) which has a bigger bearing and CNC-machined internal housing - and they claim it flows more.

American Muscle has an OPR branded one for $50 (possibly a reman OEM?)

I don't care about the cost, I just want a good one. Leaning toward the Edelbrock. I ask simply because sometimes OEM is best (coil-on-plugs come to mind).

Topic 2: I also have both Livernois and Comp phaser limiters. Which should I use? I've read bad things about both. Leaning toward Livernois.

The OEM pump should be fine.
As for phaser limiters, the Comp versions are a single plate and aren't likely to fall out of position or fail as easily as the Livernois units, so I think the choice is a no-brainer.

Did some more searching...found multiple threads with Livernois carnage. I'll stick with Comp unless someone has a good reason to convince me to go with Livernois that is safer than Comp...

    Here was Tiger Honaker's failure:

  6. no such thing as a good limiter, lock them out or leave them alone. comp limiters made my car do some weird shit on the dyno so I just locked them out and problem solved

I can’t leave them as I could have piston-to-valve contact.

I want to keep VCT intact somewhat; it does some good things down low.

    I’ll do the Comps.

Definitely don't use Livernois they are crap and do fail, as others have said. Mine is personal experience.

Tell me about these “revised phasers” please...

  11. all new phasers comes with a different spring and spring profile which is basically an added bolt adding pressure. came standard I believe on mid 07 -up cars

Comp limiters for over a year and 100lbs of nitrous, zero issues
