A lot of autos around here

Hey guys, just joined. Heard about this place through svtperformance where I've been a member for years under the name roadracer247. This site looks great!

Anyway I've been browsing this place and noticed there's a lot of members with automatics. Nothing wrong with that, but tomorrow, if all goes well, I'll be pulling the trigger on a 07 Mustang GT with a 5 speed manual. Just wanna make sure I'm not picking a really weak transmission or something. With this many automatics I'm wondering if its because of some known issue with the manual transmissions or if its just the personal preference of the members who's posts I've read...

The 3650 manual is leaps and bounds better the 5r55 auto as far as holding up to power goes.

The tr3650 is a very stout tranny, although I don't think it gets along too well with powershifting (in my experience)

The stock 5spd (3650) is plenty strong. I still have one in my car and it has taken a lot of abuse.

I've seen you post around on SVTP. I mostly lurk in the Pics and Videos section over there now because of the same people always bickering and writing the same shit over-and-over.
