Standard issue. A big reason the black coyote took so long. Indon't mean delayed us by days.

I have been fighting with my car running hot after the Turbo install.
Im .81 Ar on the 6765 with the infamous Zimmer Hot side

While im only 7 or 8lbs boost, could this also be effecting my running hot issues?

It's extremely unlikely. MAYBE if it only happened during heavy loads but iirc you were having it run a bit warm even while idling.

Took over 6 weeks to get my Turbo back from COMP for a rebuild they promised within 5-7 days. I got excuses from "we never got it" "we misplaced it" to "we got busy" If I have any problems with their product again I full intend to sell it and buy a more reputable brand. I wish you luck.

3-1 back pressure is way to high.

My 1st guess is going to be not only is the AR too small but so is the turbine.

Hell K series Hondas have bigger turbos then that

Maybe some of the big guys can clue Justin at COMP in. Or, maybe he was just dumber back in DEC.

I dont know their program that well but i would use a 75mm Turbine with 300 inches

Forget the compressor because they really dont mean "that" much with what we are talking about here.

I always find it funny that companies will rate turbos to those power levels and not give a displacement limit or RPM

That's not important when picking a turbo!!!
If that was their recomendation then it's on them.

I guess the real question you should ask is when picking a turbo is....

What Turbo should i use to make 650 efficiently with 300 inches and have a nice usable RPM curve?

Alot of these small turbines will make the "number" your trying to get but you will have a crappy curve, the back pressure will go through the roof, or it will make a ton of heat. (if not all of the above)

90% of the time the compressor will support your needs, but the turbines on 8 out of 10 mustangs are too small. I will bet my pay check on that. It cracks me up when turbo "experts" say all your need is a 67mm or what ever but there is absolutely no talk what so ever about the turbine. Ask any turbo guy thats been fast or that picks out real turbos for guys and they will put more thought into the turbine. Just for example: Your basically trying to make 650 hp to the wheels through a single 2 inch muffler.

Turbo X i came up with some other options for you other then that 82/85 but it would require some work to make it fit. Garrett has some real nice stuff with alot of selections for ARs on say a 82mm turbine. I think that will give you the spool time your looking for and support the RPM your trying to make. You have a Bad ass engine and with the right turbo its going to be a monster.

Why would you bring them into this thread? This is not their kit or turbo. They have helped me a lot with mine and it is the same kit as this.

Thanks; I am not a turbo know it all, all I can do is ask the questions from Justin@ Comp and discuss with the customer....and I am sure as with anything out there people have their thoughts and opinions about product X or Y, there are good stories about Comp and then there are issues with Comp, just like any business.
