Found missing cylinders
Installed the Watts linkage (rod ends, only way to go) and relocation brackets Friday night and finished up on Saturday.
Not much to add over what has been said. Great quality kit, only issue I can see is that if you want to run higher RC heights, the drivers side bracket doesn't seem as if it would accommodate it while keeping the bars parallel (ish). I am at the third hole from the bottom on the frame mount, and on the drivers side I am the second hole from the top. Not an issue for me as I don't plan on running higher RC heights, in fact I will probably go lower. My lethal OAPs are also really close to that bracket. Only about 1.5" of clearance. Car lowered about 1.25" in the rear. Couldn't get it to hit on the street with 300lb. springs back there but may have to run turndowns if I go lower.
Driving impressions same as everyone else. Going from a spherical BMR panhard to this kit, the car just has a much more stable feeling, no more kicking to the side over large bumps, seems to put power down turning right as well as left instead of the large difference before. Would love to give more of an impression but it's too cold here to really have too much fun. Puts power down going straight MUCH better thanks to the relo brackets.
One reason I purchased this over the Fays2 is it is beefy. I hillclimb, track, and generally abuse this car and frankly the Fays2 is scary. I spoke with Kelly on the phone (great guy BTW) and as I told him, I appreciate someone willing to sacrifice a few lbs. to build a kit that doesn't look like it will snap off the axle in a week. Still may tack the axle brackets on but for now they are marked and will be retorqued often.
And it's very red. They were out of hammertone and I didn't want to wait.
If anyone has any specific questions feel free to ask away.
How's the noise, if any, with the spherical ends? I'm so worried about it clanking everywhere because all of my past double spherical parts have done that and it's been the most annoying thing ever. I'm leaning towards the poly/rod combo but I don't like that it doesn't offer as much adjustability.
