Well as some as you may remember, I had did a dyno run a while back. The only mods I really have is an o/r prochamber, JLT intake. I got the intake and tuner package from Brenspeed. I was running the 93 tune. When I had the car on the dyno with Brenspeeds tune I was averaging 13.2-13.3 A/F at WOT.....too lean for my taste.

Well today I went to have my stock plugs changed.....got to talking tuning and I decided I would just have it tuned right. Left the car there and just picked it up. I am pleased with the new A/F numbers. a steady 12.5 WOT.

Here is the sheet. The Red lines/numbers are the Brenspeed tune, where as the Blue is the current. (I know its kinda hard to see)

final results.......

Brenspeed tune- 13.2 a/f
294 Hp
306 Tq
90 degree weather

C&M dyno tune- 12.5 a/f
295 Hp
312 Tq
93 degree weather

I hope you didn't pay much for the dyno tune. 13.2-13.3 is perfectly fine on a close to stock NA car IMO...

12.8-13.2 is what all the tuners I've talked to shoot for NA.

Everyone I talked too think 13.2 is on the lean side. I have always been told 12.5-12.8 is optimal. Either way its more peace of mind ;)

How often do you ride WFO? I'd say the Brenspeed tune was damn close for a mail order tune.

Oh well, as long as you're happy.:beerchug2:

So you got 1 hp on a dyno tune over a brenspeed email tune? Id say brenspeed has bad ass email tunes then

oh wow you gained 1 horsepower ! lol how much did that cost ?
for the money you spent on the dynotune you could have added more mods!! and added a hell of alot more power .
oh well if it floats your boat.

Then everyone you talked to is thinking of a boosted car. Like mentioned, if I had my n/a car dyno tuned and it came back at 12.5 a/f, I'd take it back and have them lean it out.

Peace of mind? Unless you're pulling a 5000lb trailer, there's no reason you need a near stock n/a motor that rich. It's your car though, and you're right, you're not going to hurt anything by running it that way.

A boosted car should be in the 11's

I had always thought that mid to high 12s is optimal for a N/A car. Both my bama and brookspeed tune's A/F are mid to high 12s.

My brenspeed tune was at 13.1 at WOT. It worked fine for when I had it, and I beat the snot out of my car.
