Ok this officially sucks! Some members and local mustang owners got together today for a little mini meet and then all went out for a cruise. My car started making a very weird chirp/rattling sound. We think its the supercharger...Maybe a bearing or propeller or something. Heres a video. You can clearly hear the sound!!!

Updates:
1) It is not the Kenne Bell. Took the belt off and it was still making the noise. SC also spun freely with no binding, etc. Had correct oil, etc
2) Still makes the sound when clutch is engaged/disengaged
3) Makes the noise when the RPMS are falling.
4) Sounds worse on the driver side back towards the firewall.
5) Gets louder with higher RPMs

Check the oil in the supercharger, see if it's low or maybe metal flakes in it.

checked it...hard to tell where it is since its pretty clear with a greenish tint to it...Its passed the 1st notch but I dont think its hitting the 2nd notch. From KB website, thats how it should be.

Yeah, doesn't sound good. +1 on checking the SC oil. (oops...already did!)

Pop off the belt and try to start it as suggested. You can then also turn the KB pulley and 'feel' for anything wrong.

so just take the whole belt off and just start it? Im assuming since the alt and everything is ran by it, i dont need to let it run too long with it off..Ill go try that now

First of all I hope this is something simple. If it still makes that noise with the belt off check to make sure something, wire tie, hose clamp, etc, is not hitting the bypass valve. I had that problem last year.

Ok, its not my SC...Took the belt off and spun the sc and it spun freely with no binding, noises, etc...Cranked the car without belt and the noise was still there...Only difference is now its making noise at all times. Before it would only chip/chatter when the RPM is coming down.

Any ideas?

I involves something thats rotating. Could be a flywheel or clutch. Hope it's something simple.

Ouch that sucks. Well at least it isn't the blower.

Let us know what it ends up being.

Yeah, feel good about that. You need to now isolate where the sound is coming from. Hopefully it's not internal to the engine.

I went outside and it still makes the sound even if the clutch is engaged/disengaged. That tells me its not the clutch/flywheel. Its sounding more and more like internal...Looks like I will be rebuilding ALOT sooner than I wanted too but atleast I will be able to up the boost...Maybe join the 600 club..or hell maybe even the 700 club

Take a long screwdriver or a length of hose and hold one end to your ear and the other end to various places on the engine. This will give you a much better idea where it is coming from and you might even be able to tell what it is by being able to hear the sound better.

I knew when I put on my Kenne Bell, sooner or later I would go built/forged with some blower cams. It's been 5 years, and I'm expecting it to happen any time now. Of course, then I'll have to upgrade the fuel and MAF, go to an 8 rib kit, up the boost, better tensioner, and while it's all taken apart might as well go long tubes and o/r H. And those shiny FRPP Throttle Bodies look cool...

Sounds to me like a lash adjuster collapsed. At first I was thinking the header on that side was loose, but with that wet sound in there as well, it could be a lash adjuster. Use your long screw driver and put it over each valve set on the valve cover and see if it's specific to one particular cylinder.

It can be hard to tell noises from a video, but from what it sounds like it should be in the top end. Figure out if its coming from the passenger or driver side and just pull off the valve cover to take a look.
