Ever had a Manley H-Beam rod fail??

Has anyone ever had a Manley H-Beam rod fail in a high horsepower motor?? How far have these actually been pushed? The I Beam rods are $900. more so are they really necessary? I would like to know how much power you guys are making and which rods you run.

i cant recall seeing a h beam fail but with the power you should be making is $900 now worth killing the engine later? id say build it right now, the first time and over build for your goals.

I've seen 1 that had spun a bearing, heated the rod and turned it a nice bluish purple. I've not seen 1 in 2 pieces though.

I thought H-Beams are designed to bend not break in 2?

Never broke one. Ever. Modular or pushrod engines up to 1240 hp. Never broke them. The H beam should be fine for you.
